Quarterstaffs are simple two-handed melee weapons.
Quarterstaffs were usually made of wood and sanded cylindrical with a diameter of 2‒4 in (5.1‒10 cm), with blunt ends. Though they could be plain wood, some were intricately carved works of art. Some were known to enhance their quarterstaffs with metal-shod ends or textured striking surfaces.
