This nation of mostly reptilian humanoids contains cities on platforms high above the large swamps. They prospered under the Volum Empire of Ushal but now suffer from a lack of trade goods. The two primary denizens of the swamps are the Lizardfolk and Yuan-Ti. After a deadly war between these two groups hundreds of years ago, the Society of Swamptongues was established to promote trade and the spread of information while allowing the societies to avoid each other. Many come here seeking wealth, valuable plants, well-crafted goods, and other valuables. However, the swamp and its various inhabitants cause only a few of these people to return. There is a large community of dragonborn as well, mostly refugees from Vrunthull to the east.
