Champions of Gods

Before Recording Sessions

In here you'll find a collection of session notes/recaps from The Outcast Guild. Many of these are recaps were written after games as quick summaries as the DM got more involved in world-building and then recording these slowed down....and eventually stopped.

Session 1 through Session 10

The team woke up and then tormented each other the whole morning. Poor Errich was pushed out of the bed and Heek/Ojen bicker constantly.


After their late breakfast the team went to the the bulletin board to see if there were jobs to be had. They didn't really like what was left, Rat catching, caravan baby sitting....and then suddenly a magic note from the town Witch appeared. She had a giant list of errands to run.


The witch pays well for smaller--and larger errands to be run for her (she doesn't leave her abode for anything). She also supplied the team with mounts A well mannered Mare named Feler , Two ponies Peach Blossom (awnry brat) & Stormy (a well mannered even temper older pony), and a Dwarven Battle goat named Thunderhoof--that believes its a pony (don't tell him otherwise or you will end up hurt).


The team gets a bit lost right of the start when Errich falls asleep while holding the map. He again is shoved awake. Then on day two they start to seem to be making progress when a rain storm happens. Day four turned around as Ojen found the road! However, the morning of day six STAMPEDE of Long necked dino/giraffes with plants covering their bodies run by looking terrified. The team quickly manages to get behind a big enough bolder to avoid being trampled... but they don't get to leave until the stampede is over....to be continued....


The team hiding behind a boulder looks up to find another halfling Pike yelling at them from on top of the boulder. The team agrees to move forward to find more items and Pike joins the team.


Pike/Errich  have a rivalry that nearly matches Heek/Ojen! The team through some great perception rolls finds Blood Hawk Eggs left unguarded. Through Pike's climbing skills the team gathers enough eggs to meet their need!


After a while longer the team makes it to The Gargoyle's Castle, the end destination for this part of the journey. Things look bleak as the team sees the draw bridge is unusable in the normal sense. Heek & Ojen vanish.


Silnari makes it across only to hit a trap! Pike manages to get up onto the  the draw  bridge after Silnari prestidigitates the chains. Pike manages to get the bridge to lower another foot--but then it is officially stuck.


Heek comes back & says they were scouting out the fallen tower to the right to find a better way in. Heek & the team watches as Pike realizes the rubble that is blocking the main entrance was placed there!


Pike hits a specific stone to make the rubble collapse leaving just enough room to get into the castle grounds. Ojen has yet to reappear & Errich is still across the 15ft moat!


Heek in a moment of kindness climbs up the draw bridge & lets a rope down for Errich to climb up. The team moves forward without Ojen.


Once inside the Castle grounds the team realizes while it is mid day outside... its dark as night inside the Castle grounds? Chittering in the background alerts the team to Giant Fire Beetles. The team fights & towards the end Ojen jumps down from the ramparts above ending one beetle attacking Heek. One beetle escapes. The beetles' glowing glands and Ojen's finds while missing were both on the list!


The team moves on and climbs upward onto the ramparts. Once above--they see the castle is actually a labrynth w/colored zones. The team ends up split up again.


The team runs into some Driders--but with fast words Silnari gets the group out of trouble. They then find a graveyard and collect grave moss before finding a door that is alive! The door has a little information but doesn't really know enough to go on. At some point Silnari decides to take up the door's offer of stepping beyond his sight.


Silnari stepped through the door into a guard tower/barracks of sort that looked like it was abandoned of sort.


The team after deliberations and arguments finally joined her. Finding things along the way. Mostly mundane, but some really good magical finds. They spend the night in what one would assume was the room of the warden.


They then go through a teleport tune and meet the Lady of the tower a Ghostly woman who refused to show herself. She gave the group shocking information about the death of the warden, escape of criminals, and the state of affairs. She also told them to ask the mimic a few floors back (thank god they opted not to open that chest!!) For some items they needed.


She told them to go back to the start and take a left to find the rest.


The team returned to Oclor! Once in Oclor they headed straight for the witch and found out their services are not needed as War has reached the shores of the empire and a new land has just been discovered! The team is sent to Nelisora Tinkerton to get passage to it, her wife Mirrindris meets with the team evaluates them a little before telling them to meet at the docks at sunrise in five days. Look for the only changeling around: Ris. She offers to take care of everyone's pets @Heart || Heek/Jade | Firecracker if you leave your pet behind let me know :).


From their the team separates for the rest of the day and meets back up at a local tavern run by the other adventuring guild: The Red Lions.


In their den Pike joins an arm wrestling tournament! The party bets on her--all rounds except the one she lost (very lucky of them!)


Later on Pike decides to return and see if she can get information from the final contestant the leader of the guild: Inzia.


Silnari and Ojen try to help--but things don't go as planned (but they do make Pike look real good).


During the conversation Pike is asked if she'd like a go in the fighting pit. Pike agrees, and feels a bit of concern when she realizes her opponent is a Goliath and she is clearly out matched. He strikes some VERY good hits on Pike.


And as she realizes she needs help, Pike calms herself and asks in her mind for help--from anyone really. She receives it.


In a stunning turn of events Pike wins! Then she goes to get a prize from Inzia! She pulls out silver brooches of dwarven make!


The team meets Sigrun a cleric of the Kaldrhiem pantheon, while trying to ignore Ris' yelling at Nelisora a blue haired gnome. Sig gives the team a quick run down and mentions that previous team members have vanished at random and that its been a little rough. Specifically, "hell" is the word she uses. Roma makes friends with one of the members: @Vferime which one was it again? you cut out badly when you were telling us. Sig leads the team to base and shows them around telling them that the berries from the yellow plants out front are healing plants (see info chat: Flora google doc). Sig leads the team upstairs and ((occ the team redesigns the second floor again)). After getting settled Sig when showing off the kitchen a bit more shows Pike a stool and also tells Pike to not be afraid to ask for help with getting things off the higher shelves... this leads to a bit of an angry Pike. Silnari is able to calm Pike a bit--but the Halfling barbarian does what everyone would do when angry...drink questionable new alcohols. Pike ends up rather sloshed, and creates some windows in various people's bedrooms before tumbling into bed. Roma hearing Pike's ruckus heads down to the first floor and hears more information from the northerners.


The team starts off with learning more about the area and the task at hand! Most of the knowledge shared was the same. But Errich shared that his vision revealed that Aire is sacrificing the gods for more power--to become the one true god. The team decides to head into the forest to find the North Goddess: Thorve, she is a nature goddess. Its not known her exact location just that she's somewhere in Esken. Sig reveals that through her time with Celryn (a member from her former party) and Delmare, that Esken was known to be the birthplace of nature magics and fae--lots and lots of fae. As the team enters the forest they realize just how big the trees are. Think bigger than redwoods---think you wouldn't be surprised if it was an Ent holding still. The party finds some ruins but not much turns up there (Sig collected some moss though!). Eventually after an even longer walk the team finds an alter in the middle of the woods. Splayed part on part off the alter is the outline of a humanoid. Errich upon further inspection finds a scroll case with a note. Using his divine item he deciphers parts of it, Goddess of North *BLUUUUURY BITS * stolen and stabilized. More blurry bits our god blurry bits and suffers for it. Demigoddess *blurry bits) can help. There is a Sketch of a map possibly leading to a cave. Also, there's dirt in y'alls shoe when you wake up to an earth quake, and pixies switched your water to wine in the night...


The crew chose what they learned the night before and have a temporary boost to certain checks (individually).


They travel to the north as Silnari remembers talking with one of the Eladrin about the best way to tackle these items that are needed.


At about half way the team sees an eerie large tree and Pike finds herself inexplicably drawn to it. It calls to her to come forward.


The rest of the team made their saves and a team up of Roma/Silnari saves the small barbarian and the team from peril.


Then after a few more hours of travel the team finds themselves entangled in roots.

Except Roma because he was watching the ground almost as much as he was watching the trees.


As the team struggles with the roots, Silnari breaking free along with Pike the Roma spots Dryads with inky veins emerging from trees nearby. You found the grove and walked into a classic Dryad trap.


Romas quick thinking leads to talking--a woman with long flowing red hair (with yellow flowers tangled within her locks, mesmerizing green eyes and pale green tinted skin (and the tell-tale signs of the plagues blackening veins) steps forward to speak for the Dryads.


With some smooth rolling from Roma, he manages to explain what the team is after and attempting.

Alixandia clearly doesnt think it will work quite the way the mage who wrote the draught recipie thought it would.


She invites the team to her tree for rest and as she reads the recipie she laughs and plucks a yellow blooming flower from the roots of her tree and passes it off,  revealing herself.


She looks to Sig and Pike and comments on how she hasn't see those of their pantheon in sometime, except the mother of Raenisa the Demigoddess who the draught is for. They put two and two together and realize via Alix's words that Rae is Thorve's and High Kings daughter.


A dryad seed is provided. And a warning given let no water come to the seed. And to also be prepared when the draught is given for everything to change--rapid and drastically.


"Hold on to anything solid that doesnt look to be toppling over."

She gives warning Sol'asha has fallen to the illness... his mind is warped. And that soon they the Dryads may be forced to follow. But they have time if you hurry they might be able to be cured along with Rae.



The team wakes and Silnari reports having had a nightmare of Aire killing 3 gnome gods and absorbing their power. Roma dreamed and met Analia the Green, mother of earth and plants. Open met their races Mother goddess M'aarra the Strong and Wise. She learned of the 5 feline pantheon and was set on a course of revealing them to the world. Errich recieved no dreams. Pike is exhausted and invigorated at the same time feeling as if she worked at Ebdurs side in her dream she recalls his hearty laugh but can't recall beyond that. Alixandia hearing Silnari's recount and Roma's looks to the team and says, "You get to the Nymphs and retrieve the water. If you must kill their queen...so be it. We will get Sol'asha's moss, and meet you for the ritual to save the demi goddess." The team sees a second motive behind her words...past beef with the nymph queen perhaps? Yes. Definitely. Urgency is on 5 days are left as the earth shakes once again. The High King has fallen ill with the Plague.

The team rushes to get to the Nymphs area of the forest knowing time is short. Travel is relatively long but not a lot happens. The team sees another sickly giant tree but this time no one is lured to it. The team also ran into a Ent that grabbed up Pike and Sigrun, but Roma's & Silnari's quick thinking saved the team. The team has camped and is about half a day from the Nymph's domain.


Session 11 through Session 35

Mango joins the party! The party takes it well--I mean if you count telling Mango and Errich to shut up so they can continue sleeping as "taking it well". Only for another quake to send them all straight to "I'm up, I'm UP!"


Silnari herds and leads the team towards the goal and the team makes really good time. The team comes up with a plan, Roma will distract the Nymphs while Mango and Errich go around the back to try and sneak some of the Needed water out of the well on the island--guarded by the Nymph Queen (Sig and Ojen waiting on the sides to intervene if need be).

Roma is doing "okay" with the Nymph until she tries to charm him, at the same time Errich and Mango are spotted. They try to talk their way out of it but, again the nymphs try to charm these outsiders--Mango falls for the charm while Errich and Roma succeed in fighting it off.


Pike desperately makes a bid to try and talk to the nymphs--however part of the way through Pike's god Ebdurr ends up distracted (sorry kid) and she ends up not being fully understood.


The team in the end finds themselves fighting the Nymphs while Mango is sent towards the Queen.

After some amazing team work, and intervention by Roma's god Analia (who struck down two Nymph's to free up Roma to go help Pike). In the end the Nypmhs and their Queen were no match for the party--they leveled up and moved quickly (still managing to loot the Nymphs) towards the goal.


With some skill in Survival and the knowledge of needing to move quickly the team manages to get closer to their goal.


During watch Silnari gains a new raven/bunny pet who's back fur grows plants. Roma hears chatting, and finds a fae party is going on. Pike realizes things go entirely silent on her watch, even Errich's snores are muted if not silenced entirely--btw this was a gift as had silence not been casted upon your area...someone might have found you...


In the morning the party keeps moving, running into monsters after monsters, first there was the mutated Vine Terror clearing. many of the team found themselves calling on their gods for aid to ensure they were able to move freely. Then the team neatly and swiftly made it past a Kipine, only to run into the clutches of blighted trees that have come alive with the blight and an unending hunger.


Mango and Ojen are lured into their trap. Mango manages to break free, but Ojen falls prey and is swallowed hole. The team works quickly, some stealing kills from others. Something has happened to some of the team members, that none of them are aware of yet during that last battle.


All the while earthquake after earthquake keeps coming and everyone is feeling more on edge. You now are only 1/4 of a day ahead of schedule. But it is clear to the team...the enemy is working hard to stop you from achieving victory.


Ojen and Silnari find peace in dreams, and wake rejuvenated.

Roma sees and interacts with his goddess learns a bit of lore and is told his mother--is very stubborn.

Mango and Errich arrive at the same place in their divine dream and after some antics of trying to get their respective gods attentions, they are able to ask a few questions, answers are given and Errich is told he needs to start studying. Errich gets a book that is titled "War Caster".

Pike is pulled into a giant hall of blacksmiths working hard to repair or make armor and weapons. She hears Ebdur behind her scolding her for taking so long. Pike starts to talk to him about finding a different path and feeling like she's different from other barbarians.


When he asked for more clarification--all it took was her saying wolf, to get Fenrira the mother goddess of the same pantheon Ebdur is part of (Kalderhiem) to appear. Offering to give her what she wanted and more. However, sticking to her first deity, Pike turned the goddess down. Much to the deity's disappointment.


Ebdur, was quite pleased with Pike and gifted her more power and alter'd some things for the barbarian to allow her to follow a more true to Pike form ;).


The team was faced with a horrifying session. Faced with an undead Solasha--the oldest and strongest of the Ents of Esken. The team as they faced down this behemoth of a Ent, realized they could not win against him. Ojen, in a last ditch effort unleashed something terrifying inside and attacked with a terrifying powerful beam. Sig tossed Ericch to Mango and told them to "Flee! Defeat evil this day!"


As the team moved to do just that they watched as Ojen fell. With a mighty roar Sig moved to distract the Ent as the team fled.


The team entered a cinematic where Pike and Errich stayed behind next to give the other's time to get to the Demi Goddess. Elsewhere in the world a Tabaxi monk awoke with tears in her eyes. With the news that both her sister and friend had died.


Then Silnari took a stand telling Mango and Roma to keep moving.


In the end Mango also took a stand to allow Roma precious moments to get to the clearing and pass off the bottle of magical water to an Eladrin.


Then--everything reverted to just moments before the Ent struck down Ojen.


The sound of thousands of arrows being loosed as a Dying Raenisa appeared. Several Eladrin grabbed up the team and put them upon beasts to travel quickly.


Many Eladrin took up the stand both clearing the way and falling behind to ensure the team in full made it to Raenisa with ten minutes to spare.

Time fractured again as Raenisa Died, Lived, and every other possibility inbetween played out before the team. But the last one was where Alixandia was able to administer the cure, and push her granddaughter into the nexus of the leylines.


Eladrin having known the tale of Raenisa's father's birth grabbed the party and held onto a tree but this time--was much different than the High Kings Birth. The area surrounding the nexus changed drastically as if aging. A tree took over the area and small ponds formed. Then Raenisa was reborn as a goddess of time and rebirth.


She stepped out of her tree and thanked the party, and warned them they now had only a year to live--to live longer they must hunt down and kill the generals of Aire.

She gave them their faces, and told Pike she might want to write her sister soon. Across the world Azaria received news that both her sister and friend were alive once more and well.


She offered each member of the party one question in relations to past, present, and future. Of which, everyone pocketed. She also informed them that rewards would be delivered to the base of which they were to return to and rest before heading to Weamid--the homeland of the Cat-folk.


Roma went to Alixandia and handed all but one of the ent acorns over to her to help repopulate Esken.


Raenisa spotted the crown upon Mango's head and both she and Alixanida laughed in relief that the nymph queen was handled.


Sigrun departed with Raenisa, to heal and save Thorve and to begin her search for the others.

Upon returning to the base, The team found that Nelis and Mirrindris were watching as the north men and women packed up to rondeau with Sig.

The team about half way into the week while studying, brewing, practicing, and forging were surprised to find that The High King of Esken has lent them 5 of his Eladrin. 1 of with was Yor'van who quickly took a shine to Roma, and Pixis who took a very forward approach in letting Pike know of her interest.



The team travels to meet with the High King Arruz, They meet Thorve and gain the Hero Point ability, Pike also got a special item. Then they travel the desert, meets a Groaux the Traveling Mutu (Frog People) and gets their map a little updated. The team buys some things and continues on to the mountain oasis in the desert. 

One of the nights they end up attacked by a pack of Squirrelisks, little desert theives. Roma in chasing these thieves comes across a Displacer Snake and Roma nearly dies from the snake. They skin it and keep the skin for later use.

They then come across a waterfall with a hidden set of doors. Mango and Pike fought and Mango WENT DOWN to 0 hit points. He pissed himself.

Roma got some information via mail as did Mango 


This the team ran across some locals and a few Tabaxis from the main lands. They find themselves promised profits if they assist in clearing out the scorpions that are preventing the locals from getting to their bounty--of beetle eggs.

Roma and Ojen cut it close to death. (Also you really need to level up Ojen again 😉 ) But with some quick movements from Pike, Mango, and Errich the team makes it out of the pickle alive.

The team also found some history of a deceased son of Analia on a pillar.

Errich and Roma witness the death of Analias son and figure out that the oasis and temple the team is in--is likely where he is buried. During his watch Errich realizes and sees that there is a hidden door into the next area of the temple.

The team then finds a statue and three doorways with arcane circles on them. Errich reads a hint on the statues plaque and Pike decides to test it with her flaming hammer. The arcane circle absorbs the fire magic and the team is able to enter the door beyond. They find a giant female presenting warforge, representing fire, made of gold and what looks like porcelain.

She tells the party they each have one question. (Ret conning due to allowing  mango and ojen to have a question each) She also gives them two extra questions. The team mostly keeps their questions to the relevant information needed.

Aire's weakness? No guardian can give you this answer, look in the texts of old.

How  do we return Analia's son to her? Ask another.

Who is the Golden Phoenix? There is no Golden Phoenix

What are the Whereabouts of The Flock? The current whereabouts of the flock are shrouded, however they were last seen at Sky Talon before its destruction. 
I know I am missing a questio. Or two but can't remember them for the life of meThen the team left after the woman broke down after answering the questions. After a squabble and Pike destroying the statue in the main chamber because she wanted to touch the blank face of the man, Roma uses his divine item to open the Earth door way.

The team goes in and learns that this guardian will only answer a single question. The team steps away to formulate a plan. Roma sour/salty about Pike possibly destroying a statue of his Goddess's son tests the room to see if it will close behind them. It doesn't. The team deciding to be smart ask Roma to stay behind while they try out the last door.

Heek tries to use her wings to open the door of air--but it doesn't work. She trades places with mango to help Ojen distract the desert folk. Mango uses his wind punch and activates the last door.

The team goes in and sees there are two guardians. They try to pass them to reach the beyond area but they are denied. When Pike tries to use Ebdurs name she is told he has no power here.

Meanwhile Roma gets frustrated at being made to stay behind and asks his question of the guardian in the room. He asks about returning Analia's son to her. He is told the path has already begun.

Then after his questions are answered he heads to meet the team and finds that he is allowed due to being Analia's champion yo go past the warforged guardians to the ring of  people and the pool beyond and he spots a sight that makes him stop in his tracks.


 Roma is stopped and shocked at seeing Filnar alive--and mostly well expect the horrid wings, something about him is very familiar but Roma cannot put his finger on it. Filnar informs Roma that the team--when saving Raenisa gave half of his divinity to her--and with her rebirth, he too was ressurected.

Filnar tells Roma the team needs to hurry as their time may not be as long as Raenisa predicted. He wants the team to help ensure that his brother Aire, is defeated. He looks into the pool at his feet and plucks Alexi Donskava Verishka from where he was hiding. Boldly the god tells Alexi that he has a proposition for the lizard man, he offers the chance of revenge against Aire--his brother. Alexi readily accepts and joins the COGs team with little fuss. 

After a little more is revealed, Filnar asks that the team doesn't share or spread news that he has revived. It wouldn't do well to show their hand to the enemy.

The team then travels a day south with the locals and the Ally Expedition Co. members to a small nomadic village of Mutu who are simply one off shoot of a larger town.

The team meets Ne'dri a tortle who has many bags of holding and a lot of different items. The team buys various pets and items that they feel the need. Including a newer looking book on the "Golden Phoenix", and a few mimics, and a living tome.

The team also picks up a few other pets from the Mutu Stable master, Gaf. They pick a handful of mounts.
Jackjaurs for Pike, Ojen, and Heek.
Beetles for Roma and Alexi
and a Brapt (raptor) for Mango who was panicking over the beetles.

The team settles down for the night, Pike playing with her pets and working to train them. Alexi trying to learn the parties version of common, and Errich working on his alchemy. Pike eventually is asked to test out 3 new potions. 


 Pike and Roma had divine dreams. Learned some things. Pike got a book on charming people. And they met the god of love--another of Analia's children. 😉
Laito is a twin with a sister. Roma got answers to questions he dared to never ask before.

Cogs, the team ran into acid worms but managed to defeat them--although Alexi tried to reason with the beasts (valiant effort). The team made it to Port Haven, where the allies have set up shop in a small town.

The team ran across Nelisora, Inzia, and Mirrindris.

Each one interacting with various party members. Roma learned that Anri a god had told Dris to interfere and get Roma to the party. Inzia spoke with and spent the night with Pike. Alexi spoke with Nelisora and the two rogues worked out various business oportunities.

Dris also spoke with Errich to learn what he knew and to let him know her Alchem Lab was his to use.

In the end the party got free room in board on Nelisora's dime.

COGS, the team spent a rainy day at Neli's and Dris' place. The team learned that Mirrindris has a magical hallway of doors that she gave a few members access too. Roma got a new sword and a violin. Alexi got a book to help him learn common. Errich got to make health potions 🙂 and met Chyp the snapping turtle who aids in potion making.

Pike and Inzia spent the rainy day training Pike's pets and spending time together.

Also Mirrindris revealed herself to be The Witch of Oclor. 😉 


 Errich got to meet Mirrindris' friend, Mr. Astrope. And learned he was considered an apprentice to her as far as she was concerned. Alexi and Errich got a tour of the current hall set up. Errich was reunited with is bat and saw certain other pets inside as well 😉 .  Errich got a book of alchemy and one on enchanting. 


The team did some more hanging around the town. Alexi and Errich, and Roma played a few games. Roma mostly stayed out of it watching as Nelisora taught Alexi the Dragon's Crypt card game. Alexi when in a group of people who are physically lacking in arm muscle--won every arm wrestle that was had.

Errich and Alexi studied quite a bit and Errich came up with a few new potions recipes to test out.

The team found themselves transported to a mine in the middle of the night. They do some investigating and Pike loads up the vault with mining packs, carprenters pack, red glowing crystals, and lots of ore.

The team finds Ojen, Heek, and Mango all passed out via magic spell and blunt force. Alexi called it "sleep stick" attack.

The team finds 2 medium sized centipedes (5 foot long bois)  that Alexi talks to them and they say a pretty Snake lady leashed them there to make sure the Foxes stayed in line.

The team progresses pretty well and finds a treasure chest, it looks like this mine is partially an active lava flow area. 

Pike pulls out her flaming wings to stop Alexi from being fully attacked by the snake folk.

The team is joined by Ed'gar, a new companion dropped into the fray to aid them in their endeavors. The party with this in mind continues down the mine's pathways and finds prisoners forced to mine the volcanic materials. The team takes part in an epic battle and takes care to get information before taking a short rest.

The party sees their Enemy the Queen Areth'toron in a magical illusion. Then the team gets to work pulverizing Snake and Scorpion people who are holdings 3 god champions Prisoner. 

High Lights:
The team watches at Alexi lashes out with a thorned vine and yanks one of the snake people off and tosses them into lava. 

Pike and her Golem make rather quick work of Scorpion Daddy.

Roma and Pike made quick work of Scorpion Lady.

Alexi did a cool short sword tail toss to the teams new female presenting ally--who caught it!

Roma takes out a snake person--VERY quickly in one round.

Errich and Ed'gar provide ranged support.

After the battle:

The party get's healed up by the other champions (heal up to full everyone 😉 ) and the trio tell the party to go after the snake woman Zok'ra. They say they'll handle whoever is coming down the other hallway.

Pike takes a moment to mend her Forge Golem--who she summoned out of no where during battle. And to sketch the giant statues of a tabaxi woman all around them. As she does so she get's a little dizzy and feels a weird sensation flow over her. (What that is will be revealed next game). 
Introductions will happen at the start of the next Cogs session as to who the 3 champions are 

Dil'ha daughter of Ebdur has blessed the party of @deleted-role for their assistance in freeing those that were captured by Zok'ra (Areth'toron's general y'all killed).

The party after introductions to Jarkah, Devynn, Nata, and Zune raced after the General and saw that Zok'ra had Tazennin reading a book. The General seemed to want some answer as to how to create a god killing weapon.

They noted the the golden forge looked a lot like Ebdur, Pike's god. Later they would learn that Ebdur is Dil'ha's father. Roma and Tazennin are off to a rocky start--Tazennin bit Roma and Roma man handled her.

The team worked together rather well. Perhaps the Cogs team is truly finding a groove? How is this 3rd god who sent them there and then just as quickly whisked them back to the in?

@Azaria | Pike | Ryder and @Nuvian | Errich can work out how to use the Ore and Crystals. Somehow you just know that the Crystals are called Elidae and are good for divine/radiant magics, they are strangely great for holding enchantments and spells if enchanted properly.

The Black and read ore you gathered is also known as Flamescale, Pike you recall this ore you had a small bit you made into Mango's bracelets. This ore can be made into flame resistant armor or used to create items that ignite much like a flaming sword--or bracelets that ignite when a punch is made. 

Alchemically--possibilities are endless with these two. Magically--the same.

@deleted-role last session the Team rested--speeding up to a day after the teams reappearance at the tavern. Alexi made some deals for mushrooms with Mirrindris, got drunk, and requested that if at all possible Mirrindris try to help release Ulana from the staff that Errich got from the mines.

Ed'gar performed repeatedly (really well I might add) and was given funds to improve his gear so he was more protected and dangerous in a fight. He tried to make nice with the bartender (who was pissed as Alexi just reached over the bar and took a 100gp bottle of extremely rare booze to get drunk off on but the two worked it out.) Ed learned that Nelisora doesn't allow her people to drink until after 5pm as technically they are on the clock until then.

Ed was given the briefest of run downs on what the parties goal was and that Nelisora paid (also if you haven't already, everyone but Ed, needs to add 500gp for their current progress to help repair things and supply up.)

Errich also asked Mirrindris to help with freeing Ulana from the staff. He also got to learn just how important Ulana was previously--Areth'toron the woman you're all gunning to kill to continue living, lead a coup against her with Aire's help. She was the Queen of the Sands on the Northern continent where Alexi is from.

Alexi just believes that she was a high up noble.

Alexi got mushrooms and fungus for his pauldron to help with healing.

Errich also found out that Mirrindris went to the same Magic Academy as him--50 years ago and created a color/symbol code for the books in that library. Under a different name: Eärwen Nengelel
The team has 3 days of down time.
Alexi is going to wander the port and find people to talk to.

Ed'gar is performing/making money.

Errich is researching and finishing his brews.

The team milled about town, Ed has made new friends and has a crush on a certain bardic bird (Kiwi) and Ico let him test out his guns. Alexi has found friends among the people of Port Haven, Dris and Nelisora provided them with quarters in a building. Errich learned new spells and new potions, Roma got a letter from his mother with a heavy pouch of gold.

The team eventually went on an errand for Dris and Alexi. Alexi showed that he was able to shapeshift. Spooking Roma and delighting Ed as Ed apparently loves all sorts of creatures.

When the team went back to town after fetching the goodies...the guards too were spooked.

The team hit the sands after Ed had an interesting parley with Vigot and his wife Fenrira.  On day one the party found a dragons skeleton--that is too large to pack up. On day two Roma, Ed, and Errich become a little heat sick. On day 3 the party were attacked by 3 Mummies. (See loot channel for loot). Day 4 found the party running across a skiff--that Roma promptly claimed one seat on there is still a seat left. Day 5, the party runs into 3 black pudding pools.

Ed'gar picked up a ring from the mummies that has cursed him. A lot of the stuff with the mummies is of Archaeological importance, and there are finders fees when things are sent back and reported.

Ojen and Wave were sand cycloned by Priri to the party to join them on the next part of their adventure. Wave found out that his clan comes from Ra'thir the god.

The party traveled once the sun came up. they found a ruined city peeking out of the sand and a 40ft tall monolith/oblisk that had seen better days. With some difficulty Errich using his glasses was able to translate it. 

"Blessed is this place. Where the tribes of many became the nation of one. The birthplace of a grand nation in a time of despair and woe--(or is that demons?). Thus Weamid was born (created or made?)--and Mubar’an was at its center. Mubar’an, weary traveler (or is that friend?) welcomes you to its lush lands."

Italics are guesses/inferring, Parenthesis are where translations could be multiple meanings or difficult to translate.

The other three sides held images carved into the stone of a Tiger with swirl like blue dusted gem inlaid stripes. He held items in his hands. On one side there was an orb that appears to produce some kind of liquid that falls into a bowl he is holding. Another was a victory carving holding a curved sword and shield in victory. The last held a baby and an hourglass.

The city around the party looked old and very destroyed.

Then as though thousands of voices were screaming out in agony--including Priri's own wind whipped around the party and past the city blasting away a large amount of sand that was blocking view of a hidden treasure beyond. The heart of Mubar'an the first city and birth place of Weamid. 

Alexi convinced the team to head for the largest pyramid in the back. As they passed the black pyramid to the left in the image, they noticed an opening that seemed interesting and decided to go in. Sliding down the sand pile that had started to enter the structure the team decided to see what they could find.

Quickly they found what looked like a med bay. After a bit of "discussion" it was figured out that this place was "switching" from paper to enchanted glass orbs for record keeping. They played the orbs watching as whatever happened here occurred and seeing a mummy acting as a doctor announcing 3 more births. Errich (I'm assuming) stored these for later research and for the archaeology group to take a look at.

Ed'gar, Pike, and Alexi "tested" strange metal plates in a circle that had magic sigils n them. When stepped on "clicks" could be heard and then a voice saying "deactivated" Ed and Errich figured out that these were teleportation devices possibly. At this point the party realized that Alexi in the confusion had wandered off and sends Pike after him. PVP occurs and most of the party leaves the med bay to stop the PVP. As things are being done within this new larger room that is mostly rubble--Ed casts eldritch blast as the plate in the ground breaking it.

Wave attacks Ed and the resulting fight brings attention to the party in the form of Analia the Green. The goddess appears to put the party in their place--teaching Ed in particular a harsh lesson about where his power comes from.

The party after Analia's departure takes a short rest and then sits in a circle to air their issues and concerns using an ornately carved talking stick that Wave provides. In the end of their talk Ojen reveals that she has a demon inside of her. Pike reveals her concerns and frustrations. Roma does similarly so and pushes for a leader to be picked. Alexi tells the party of his intentions. Ed informs them of his own view point as does Ed.
In the end after some heavy threats from Ebdur and much discussion the party Elects Roma and Errich as current party leaders and they all decide to take a long rest and start fresh the next day.
Ed goes to his God's divine realm to request a change of divine weapon receiving Nevermore a magical gun with which Ed can funnel his magic through for more effectiveness. He's also told his most recent desire for even more power--is because of the cursed ring he now wears. Which--will trap his soul in Ebthos' clutches should he not find a cure. He was told that he could steal the cure for it out of Ojen's hands if he was so ballsy and didn't mind the party turning on him...or he could just ask for help like Ojen.

Pike goes to speak to Waves and finds out through the talk that Azaria is Waves daughter. Then lightning flashes across the sky and rain begins to pour down and Ra'thir appears in the distance. He only says this before vanishing, "You have returned, at last, decedent."

Then when Pike sleeps she finds herself face to face with Fenrira who divulges more than she should...They're alike in many ways and Fenrira loves to stir the pot and to fight. Something about Roma is revealed--to Pike's delight (sorry Roma) as is something about Inzia's heritage. She's given a message or two to think on and take back. Mainly that Roma needs to tell Analia the truth before she realizes her son's divine item is gone aka Alexi has it. 


Cogs continues on through the Pyramid-- Pike, Roma, Errich, and Ed go up while Alexi scouts the floor the team started upon.

The upstairs crew find giant tubes with giant Weamidians within them. As Ed tries to speak to one that opens its eyes and stares at them. A warforged gnoll informs the party that they need to leave or be captured and dealt with as enemies.

The party panics and scurries down the rope.

Alexi has heard some humming coming from a hallway up ahead on the floor he was scouting, and when asking Filnar to help is told to keep a tabaxi nearby.

He comes back to seeing the party trying to escape the pyramid--but the entrance has sealed and the door and wall are deflecting or rebounding attacks. After much stressful arguing the team decides to follow Alexi forward--to see if they could reason with whoever was humming up ahead.

Meanwhile Zuron a human cleric of the Kaldrhiem pantheon awakes and sees a Gnoll Mummy tending to his wounds. A shocking sight to be had. She forces him to drink something to soothe his rough throat.

In nearby halls the party explores the place a little before deciding to move towards where the humming was coming from more--as they approached--4 figures appeared from a teleportation room from behind.

Inside the room with Zuron the gnoll reacts to hearing the doors open in the hall and grabs up a mace before moving to intercept the party.

Ed--decided to try and shoot the strangers and the party knocked his feet from under him--pike held him down with her warhammer. After some tense discussion--and odd behavior from the elf who dropped bowing low to the ground upon seeing Wave, Roma was used as a translator with Zuron and the Gnoll before the party was wrangled and told they needed to speak with someone named Namur.
During the travel to the stranger, Ed started talking out loud to a voice in his head--a demon. More PvP was had.

Session 36 through Session 40

Cogs team found themselves face to face with 6 ancient Beings. Weamid and several elves and eladrin. Many questions were answered and Wave was crowned the Army Mane in place of his ancestor who really wants to rest. 


Pike got some not so good news. Roma got some news as well.  Alliances are being forged here in Hea'det but what will the truly bring? 


Ed has started to make a deal with the demon  whom the rings contract is assigned. Alexi is wary of the elf as he's started to act a little odd.


Errich certainly has a lot he can learn from here as does Pike and Alexi in terms of magic. 



had a wild ride. The team (a majority) spoke with an smith. And is getting new weapons with Weamidian metals.

Namur (Waves and Azaria's great ancestor) with Waves' new found authority will be supplying the team with an army to help the party infiltrate Hea'det.

Alexi has begun to speak with the tradesmaster and the hunter/gathering master. And discussed just how changed things are in Weamid.

Errich and Ojen witnessed and learned a lot about Weamids forms of magic.

Ed--was caught by the arcane master as he tried to learn more about demon portals for Keller. He ended up being knocked out and locked up unable to move. Then an imp appeared to free him from being unable to move. 


Started working their way through a storehouse dungeon. Alexi was Brilliant in terrifying two teen Sand Ogres. He tried again with the Adult ones but this time to play off that the team were cooks... however they were far more hungry than willing to have someone else cook for them.

Icepick, Ed'gars new familiar/baby sitter nearly died.

And the party realized they need to be careful of arch way doors as sound travels.

Cogs fought through mass enemies--and Alexi was being sneaky with some hidden loot.

Through much fighting Cogs learns that Alexi's wife is dying or dead in the lower left area. Raenisa and Filnar paid a visit to tell Alexi he needs to reach out to the Scaled Divine 8 in order to get her alive. And the party has a part of a sliver of a Divine Spark.
