Arruz Quickfoot the High King of Esken.
Arruz is a Dryad powered by a massive crossroads of Leylines. He's akin to a god with how much power he has (if anyone has a term or wants to help coin a term beside OP Immortal who isn't divine please lemme know).
Arruz was born when a Mage protector of the Leylines stole a Dryad seed and planted it where the tree guardian of the Crossroads was dying (trees are used to diffuse the magic in Ethri'il's leylines--you've seen them with the Crystal Tree).
Arruz--took over that tree and this even was nearly...cataclysmic in proportion. His roots spread as far as they could in all directions. Only stopping when it hit Mountain or Desert. The tree grew so large that legends are abound--the people of Esken have encouraged the legends away from the fact that Arruz is a Dryad.
Arruz when outside of his tree has 2 forms that are mainly known when out of his tree. His "common appearance" is that of a man in a loose shirt and breeches, he appears as an Eladrin. He uses this appearance to test others--newcomers to the forest. Very few know the Highking and Arruz are the same being.
He goes by Arruz with the afore mentioned form.
The other--is more in line with say--Analia's appearance. This is the form he takes when "posing" as Highking.
