It's been just over six months since the app was made available to the public, which means it's time for a quaterly status report!
Let's start off with some raw numbers.
The app gets about 80-120 daily visits, with 40% being new users apparently.
Google tells us that the biggest demographic are 18-34 year old (91% of users, going down) males (92.6% of users, going up).
Patrons on Patreon continue to be amazing and cover all hosting costs. New goals were added last month with some "to the moon" goals that would be amazing to one day achieve, with the biggest goal of 500$ a month which would cover paying people for working on the app (design, videos)
The community around the app continues to be amazing! The support and encouragement I get daily is incredibly humbling and motivating.
The Discord server has proven very popular (60 users, with some active daily!). The app has also been improved to make FAQs and Releases available to unlogged users, which has helped win over some new users.
March and April have seen massive amounts of new features arrive and has required consideral time investment on my side. I still very much enjoy working on the app and the new features, but have to tone down a bit the rate at which new stuff is added to avoid alienating my family as well as keep the risk of burnout at bay.
The three developers from the Netherlands haven't yet had the time to integrate the app development because of real life commitments, but act more as support for when I have troubles defining new features. Another developer from France is also helping out in that role.
Some of the big features I want to work on in the upcoming months are:
That's about it for today! Hope you enjoyed this posted and I look forward to your continued support of the app.
As always, come say hi on the Discord, and thank you for using Kanka!
