Lum
Another enigma in a town of enigmas, little is known of Lum other then that he runs an honest auction, an honest shop and can occasionally set his hands on items both rare and wonderful. A native of the town for at least fifty years, he seems no older then his mid 30's.
The Pirate Market was Lum's creation, and he is the primary steward of it's growth and operations. It is rumored that the has a contract with the The Wizard of the Yellow Tower to not only certify thje authenticity of items he auctions but also to preserve the peace in the marker if necessary. Similarly he is suppose to have similar contracts with other pirate captains and with Governor Samuel Hops.
Regardless of the truth of these rumors there is no doubt that order is maintained in a market peopled primarily by thieves and murders and that even the most grizzled pirate would hesitate to steal from Lum's market.
