2 days later in the camp, suddenly appeared a Wood Elf from the direction of Drawlsky. It was Candella, Hanno's little sister. They seemed happy to see each other, Mordred said that they must move on, now with another person they have even less food. The group agreed and they started walking.
After a perilous 3 day journey they arrived at Arthindol's Tower and climbed to the 10th floor, Candella and Hanno were talking with Arthindol in private and Hanno stated pulling cards from a Deck. As he was pulling the cards he lost his clothes, and a guy appeared next to him out of thin air, then some rocks shattered and Candella disappeared. After that he talked to Arthindol some more and Arthindol took the guy's soul and Hanno disappeared. It was Mordred's time to talk to the Lich.
Mordred asked Arthindol for magical powers. Arthindol said that he may grant him this request for a sacrifice of one of his servants or that he'll pull 2 cards from the mysterious Deck. Mordred without thinking twice sacrificed a mercenary and a surge of power filled him all of a sudden, he was able to case Chain Lightning.
The other mercenary witnessed it and fought Mordred to the death, just before Mordred dealt the final blow the mercenary took his own life saying: "I shall not die by the hands of a betrayer!"
Realizing he's stuck on the island with no way out, Mordred asked Arthindol to teleport him back to Maar. Arthindol agreed but he said that Mordred must pull 2 cards from the Deck of Many Things, and if he will live he shall be teleported back home.
Mordred pulled the cards: Key, and Flames. After pulling the 2nd card he was teleported to Neverwinter in an instant.
