Despite our watery initial delve we decided once again to head into this place and figure out what was in the door next to the tomb. The statue once again headed in before us, but luckily the creature in the pool either decided to stay dead, or thought better of challenging us once again. This time we brought water from outside the dungeon which seemed to behave normally, I wondered if the place was cursed to not allow magical liquids but my pondering was cut short when we headed into the room beyond after the statue bashed the door down. On the other side was the strangest sight yet, a waterfall room that projected images of the ocean floor on its rippling surface, covered in crabs. I sent a bolt in but it refused to flow with the water, floating idly on its surface. Before we could make heads or tails of the place ginormous crabs began swimming from the ocean floor and towards us. Though at first they looked mere specks, they quickly reveled themselves to be almost the size of us and twice as mean. We formed up to fight them but after more than a few true shots being sent astray by their chitinous armor we decided it would be in our best interest to leave them be. However, as we were leaving Rarder spotted a glint of gold in the pool.

Armed with newfound knowledge of the grabs we set back to rush for the ring and get out. Rarder ventured into the water, but before he could secure the ring he quickly found himself surrounded by crabs. Either territorial, or swarm to defend the ring, the things broke out in to a flurry of blows which ripped past his magical defenses and sent him nearly to his grave. I had kept my invisibility potion on me for a quick escape from when things went sour but something possessed me, I threw it to him and allowed him to disappear from the crabs. The elven statue covered our escape but took a hefty beating in the process. In the end I had counted out as a loss until Rarder appeared next to us in camp, and gave me the ring.
