At the behest of our new statuesque companion we headed out to the tomb of an ancient elf who had been cast from gentile society before the supposed ruination that befell the rest of the lot. After we gathered our forces from our keep and stocked up on supplies for the trip, we set out through the supposed haunted woods to find this crypt. After our encounter with the strange shape shifting humans in the trees, our trek through these dark woods became surprisingly more pleasant. Not but idle chatter and the stamp of hoof accompanied us to the cave which the statue spoke of. Before going in we divvied up tasks and set stragglers to pitch tint and make camp. Inside our luck would run out however. We found a strange looking fountain filled with water. I offered to throw a coin in for good luck on our delve but the fountain was having none of my insolence. A watery creature shot up form it and grabbed me from our ranks before attempting to drag me into its bleak depths. I would have been done for too if it were not for that statue and its forceful slash. Soon whatever tried to grab me was returned to its aqueous form. Further in the dungeon we found a bowl of shimmering jewels, and some kind of crypt bearing the oceanic mark of the rest of this place. Worse yet, that jug I managed to nick off that dead priest poured nothing but sand when I tried to produce wine for the bowl. Water however seemed unaffected from the pool. Clearly this place was under some kind of magical curse but we decided to regroup outside before returning to claim the rest of this places treasure.
