Lord Ferrand Vitali was the first Benevolent Dictator of Arimore, ruling between 80BA and 61BA. Ferrand was born on the 4th Waredus of Eternmas 118BA to two Arimorean commoners, he was known for his natural charisma and ability to convince anyone of anything.
Not one for convention, Ferrand eloped with Chaya Vitali on the Day of Love in 95BA, who bore him a son on the 2nd Waredus of Bloodmas 93BA.
Unhappy with the state of the state of the then Kingdom of Arimore, Ferrand rallied for change through civil unrest that led to the Arimorean Civil War, executing the Arimorean monarchy himself and becoming Arimore's first benevolent dictator in 80BA.
His reign was characterised by the dismantling of the previous Arimorean way of life and feudal system, giving power and rights back to the people, installing those he felt more deserving of nobility, and executing those he felt were not worthy or who resisted his rule.
Ferrand died on the Long Night in 61BA. It is rumoured that Ferrand was poisoned by his own son, Grigori Vitali, though nothing was ever proven.
