Start – Picking up the pieces from the Age of Darkness. Mortals are starting back at square one.

Present – Some thousands of years into this age

Chaos and Isolation 1 — 100

  • Standard dragons go into hiding after being hunted by Eliad

  • Dwarves discover, hidden in the mountains of the southern desert, part of Eliad's hoard AND its eggs

  • Dwarves steal an egg from Eliad

  • Dwarves devastated by Eliad

  • Dwarves isolate themselves underground

  • Gnome communities separated underground

  • High elves split from the wood elves

  • Eliad harrases the high elves as they travel the land looking for a place to settle.

  • Isolated gnomes in the North dig in the wrong place and are infected by sentient fungus

  • Eliad disappears

Creation of Empires and Nations 101 — 200

  • High elves slaughter lizardfolk in their trek from old forest home to their new homeland.

  • High elves move from the forest and build a city on the Heart River

  • Isolated tribe of goliaths learns to tame and ride rocs

  • Goliaths, exploring the highest peaks, find an ancient thunder of dragons

  • 3rd age (standard) dragons appear

  • A large albino goliath named Glacier (white dragon named Glacialis in disguise) rises to unite the disparate goliath tribes

  • A group of humanoids (not high elves) sets out to explore the southern Desert

  • Discovery of part of 1st age dragon's hoard deep in the Southern desert

  • Using the riches from the Dragon's hoard, the explorers establish a small city around a nearby oasis.

  • Charismatic leader emerges from the tribes of giant lizard riders in the Southern Desert

War 201 — 300

  • Dragon saboteurs decide to “hatch” their plan to get the nations battling each other

  • Attempted assasination of High Elven emperor blamed on Wood elves

  • Dragons, in the guise of humanoids, infiltrate the rising nations

  • Goliaths, Orcs and Firbolgs ally with wood elves

  • Druids from above ground discover abandoned underwater civilization

  • Druids secretly settle UC by learning the secret to the underwater highway system

  • The war reaches a new low as high elves burn large parts of the wood elves' forest civilization

  • Goliaths welcome displaced wood elves into their mountains to hide from marauding high elves

  • Roc riding Goliaths attack Glacialis and drive him off

  • A mighty wizard, with the aid of a dragon ally, catches glimpses of a land beyond the Tempest

  • War ends when all combatants unite to fend off a massive flight of dragons

Expansion and Trade 301 — 400

  • Elven ship is brought beneath the waves by the UC while exploring far from home

  • Captain SomeElvishName returns to the elvish kingdom, changed (amphibious) and with a message demanding the elves immediate surrender

  • UC and elven kingdom establish a tenuous peace.

  • Trade established between the city in the southern Desert and the (not elf) kingdom
