The son of a Thegn, Aldwulf's scholarly tendencies and lack of "warrior physique" made him a natural choice as an apprentice mage in King Hrothgar's household. While he has learned well the relatively mellow skills of a court mage, he always listens in awe to the words of roving wizards that pass through. His master, Vaegish, warns him that such wizards always lead a destitute life followed by an untimely and gruesome death, but Aldwulf can't help but wonder what secrets and adventures he would find outside the safe walls of Kenburgh.
Aldwulf's father is a thegn to Jarl Hillis (location A on the map).
