The Temple of Corellon at Arwen in The Light Echo is a major religious centre dedicated to the deity Corellon. The Temple is a large, sprawling complex of beautifully-decorated buildings and gardens centred around the octagonal Alkar, which houses the Shrine of Magic, Music and the Arts. The walled city of Arwen grew up around the Temple, partly to protect the Alkar and the Parmassë.
The Parmassë (Temple Library)
The Parmassë is considered one of the finest libraries in the known planes. It is famous for rare and valuable magical grimoires. Its collections also include a vast selection of music for harps (salumbe) and other instruments, poetry, literature and drawings.
The library is heavily warded with magical security and has its own elite guards, the formidable Parmassonmacar (lit., librarian-swordsman). Books, music and scrolls are brought to the Reading Rooms on request by Parmassonmacar acolytes. The specific location of the library is unknown to outsiders, but is widely presumed to be sited beneath the Alkar.
