The Darklands consist of continent spanning caverns that exist deep below the civilized overworld. Far from the reach of the warm sun, these immense city-sized caves are home to alien like creatures rarely seen by human eyes. What few explorers have delved into the depths of the Darklands have returned with horrific and awe inspiring tales that would make a bard jealous. What little is written of these realms speaks of ornate cities carved of rock, magics foreign to even the most accomplished wizards and creatures that seem as though they have crawled out of a nightmare.
