When Queensreich was first built, it was the site of a castle, various noble houses, and a large number of trade workers and farmers. In order to protect the Ressaria citizenry, two large fortifications were built, one to the north and one to the south.
Queensreich until they outgrew their original boundaries several times over, new walls being built each time to protect them against potential invaders. In this way, the three cities came to have several layers to them, which developed into separate social strata over time; farmers lived in the outskirts, nobility at the center, and everyone else found a home somewhere in between.
