Background

Brother of Asher Arille'. Lawful Neutral.

Quick Notes:

When young, he was ambushed by a group of elves that had a habit of picking on Asher--the ringleader was from a wealthier family that had an antagonistic relationship with any other families they thought were lesser in worth or usefulness. Dontae had used his bow with the intention of firing a warning shot at the leader of them, but missed and grazed the elf's shoulder. That night they were able to catch him walking back from the leather worker's guild where he had been finishing up a new quiver. They knocked him out, bound his hands, and dragged him out into the nearby woods. When he came-to, he had a small head wound and disorientation, and had no idea where he was. They left him bound to an abandoned statue of Ketephys where an awakened owl made its home. In exchange for devotion to Ketephys, the owl managed to pick his bindings free and lead him out of the woods. From then on, Dontae took an owl companion, Sappho, as a way to pay homage to that night and the owl companion that helped him back home.

He left with a group of rangers that were ordered to investigate the land blight on the outskirts of their territory. During that expedition, he made a small name for himself as a level-headed, no-nonsense marksman in the heat of battle. Upon return, he discovered Asher was left without a word to anyone. At his father's behest, he set back out to bring back Asher--only to keep missing him with the occasional clues of his whereabouts (sometimes provided by Asher with a flair of snark and levity).
