Ability Score Increases:

As a Breton, you are the offspring of Nedic humans and Direnni elves. All the good things of both peoples identify you, and as a whole, the Bretons have been recognized both as stout fighters and adept magical practitioners. Predominantly of this, Bretons are regarded as the most magically minded humans in the world. From this, you gain +2 to your spellcasting modifier of choice (Int., Wis., or Cha.)

As a Glenumbran Breton, you are remembered for the knighthoods that dot the landscape of High Rock. These Knighthoods served all manner of religious worship throughout the lands and were seen as the foremost protectors of the realm. As such, you gain +1 to your Str.

Wrothgarian Bretons have had to withstand multiple conflicts with the Reachfolk of western High Rock as well as the Orsimer that live in numerous strongholds throughout the region. Because of this, the Bretons have had to learn to withstand long tours of duty and strenuous combat with these enemies. As such, you gain a +1 to your Con.

Reachmen have had their homes stolen from them. Primitive and more in tune with nature, the Reachmen have struggled long and hard, in High Rock and Skyrim to maintain control of their land. Still steeped in old Nedic beliefs and ways, the Reachmen gain a +1 to their Dex.

Languages:

As a Breton, you can speak, read, and write, Tamrielic, Brettonic, and one other language of your choice that you and your DM agree is appropriate.

Creature Type/Size:

You are a Medium-sized Humanoid.

Darkvision:

Accustomed to twilit forests and the night sky, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.

Speed:

Your base movement speed is 30 ft.

Skill Versatility:

You have proficiency in two skills of your choice.

Resilient Sorcery:

Bretons do not have resistance but may activate this ability to gain momentary resilience against magical assault. When activated, damaging spells that target the Breton are reduced by a quarter of the damage roll. (4 to 3) This effect lasts for the duration of a round. Upon the Breton’s next turn, the effect ends. Once activated, the Breton must use a long rest to be able to use this ability again.

Breton Cunning:

You have advantage on all Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma saving throws against magic.
