Excerpt from the journal of a dwarf Dalgarn, the Bane of Rats, member of the Redwood Raiders.
Talked to the Baron. Thought he might be pissed. He was more amused by our escape. Not sure I like how that witch of a daughter looks at us.
Spent some five days in town. Those shambling dead down in the tower prison got me good. Amos healed me up some using his divine power. Stinks but it's useful.
Bought me a new equipment. Decided to keep the spear for now. Might work better than the old hammer I had. Shame about the enchanted shield we lost in the tower.
Dama decided to tag along to the keep. Of course you can't trust an elf. They're all in cahoots with the rats for all I know.
We hauled one of the ghouls from the tower with us. Amos wanted to show it to the statue as proof the elves are gone.
Path forward was blocked by some flying slugs. Throwing burning oil at them did nothing but pissed them off. Our weapons made a short work of them though.
Amos and the elf talked to the statue but the ghoul body was not enough to convince it. It told the elf they need to get some records from the tower's library. We'll need to get back there anyway.
We went to check the ornate door we found last time. Beyond it was some magic light, an old rug and some rotten tapestries.
At least as we entered, we were called to a feast. Finally some good food...
