Shattered landmasses hover in the void following fixed orbits, like miniature planets. The only inhabitants here are those who have no need for water or are able to meet their needs with magic.
The creatures who live here are extremely dependent on following the calendar, as when the orbiting landmasses come close to each other, it can faciliate trade for just a few hours, and seeing as how each chunk of land has each it's own mana configuration, what is abundant one place, is scarse in another.
Nature
How Bala Ged can survive without a steady source of water is a mystery to everyone but never the less, it does. This dry place has little life and the lifeforms that do exist here are magical and mysterious in nature.
