You spend the day doing nothing but resting up in the Muddy Mule and cleaning and sharpening weapons.

During Ravenclaw's  a bell starts tolling and a cry goes up “Foes! Fimir! The village is under attack!!!”. You gather weapons and head out of the tavern. The mist is thick and

There is a lot of noise coming from the direction of the gate. As you get closer, through the mist you can see the gate has been broken open and the village guards, led by Kurt, are fighting the Fimir with their Halberds.

The village guards are being forced back by weight of numbers being brought to bear by the fimir. Every time one is cut down another steps in. They are mostly shearls, but there are a few Fimm beginning to get involved and the tide seems to be turning.

Non-combatant villagers are also running to the scene, carrying torches to add more light and disorientate the fimir, but the mist is thick.

“Well, what are you waiting for?” von Lufthanser walks passed, carrying a double handed sword. He jogs to towards the nearest Shearl and swings his sword round in a mighty arc “Die, by the might of Solkan!” He shouts.

You get stuck in to even the odds but more fimir come through the gate. It's difficult to know who has the upper hand due to the shadows and swirling mists. Many Shearl and Fim die.

A dirach has slipped through the mist and round the back attacking Corrobreth from behind. Fleck and Kurt Rorsach charge in to help him but the dirach has thick skin and they don't cause much damage.

Ravenclaw, Thrumir, Hilda and Otto continue so slowly carve through the fimir but they just keep coming through the open gate. The town watch themselves aren't faring so well and a number of them fall to shearl and fimm.

You hear a shout of "Cover your eyes" and their is a huge bright flash as Dr Balthazar lobs one of his explosives into the melee. Only Otto and Kurt have quick enough reactions and manage to avoid being blinded by the flash. The bright light seriously affects the fimir who stand around, barely able to fight back.

Otto and the town watch rush to close and bar the gate as the rest of you finish off the fimir.

As you catch your breath, Kurt says it looked like the dirach was trying to snatch something from Corrobreth's backpack. Corrobreth says he has no idea why that might be and Kurt shrugs and heads off to organise his men.

Otto says that the dirach was after the Tooth and for you to stay here puts the village in great danger. He advises you look to leave at first light tomorrow and continue your quest.

You head back to your room for rest.

In the morning you wake up and organise to leave quickly. Otto, Kurt and some of the guards meet you at the gate. They have agreed to escort you a few hundred metres from the village and give you the best chance to get away. The gate opens and you slip out into the mist. It is eerie and disconcerting, but there is no sign of the fimir. Otto and Kurt wish you well before returning back to Grimpengratz.

The bearing from the tooth takes you back across country again. After the previous couple of days on a reasonable path it is a bit of a shock to the system to be back trekking through scrub and bog and up and down hills again.

The weather is still overcast and showery, and you can’t help being bit jittery when every boulder and dead tree you see in the distance appears to be a Fimir at first glance.

By evening when you set up camp, the mist has come down again and visibility is again reduced.

The watches are stressful and uneasy as you hear noises and shapes appear to move in the mist. Hilda has a restless night, tossing and turning in her sleep.

Herr Hohenzoll is a merchant in Altdorf who the party approached to buy the wool from the hold of Helga's Pride on Wellentag, 23rd Sigmarzeit.

At the instigation of Rutger Weiss, Mahgnim Rib tried to bargain up the price of the wool but, being up against a superior negotiator, ended up getting less for the wool than the original offer.
