The largest structure in the Temple Ward is the Cathedral of the Sovereign Host. The cathedral suffered heavy damage during the war, but in the past two years it’s been mostly reconstructed and is even grander than before. Its colossal interior features a magically animated starscape, which scholars of Aureon consult to attempt to divine the future.

Beyond the worship of the Sovereign Host, Korth is home to a mid-size Church of the Silver Flame, one of a small handful in the nation. This small community suffered during the early decades of the war due to both its association with the new theocracy of Thrane, which had broken its alliance with Karrnath, and the establishment of the Blood of Vol as Karrnath’s state religion. Still, no official action was ever taken against the church, and it largely survived intact.

While the Temple Ward used to have many places to worship the Blood of Vol, Kaius banned open worship by Seekers within the city. Former places of worship have been converted to a variety of purposes, from night life to housing.

The Temple Ward is also home to the University of Korth. While not nearly as well regarded as the University of Wynarn in Fairhaven, the hostilities between Aundair and Karrnath significantly elevated this school’s status within the nation. This institution does not teach arcane magic; students interested in becoming wizards typically attend either the University of Rekkenmark, join the Twelve, or during the war would go to Atur and become a state necromancer. The school is best known for its History department, but has bulked up other non-magical studies like language arts, mathematics, and philosophy.

After the Treaty of Thronehold, Prelate Alinda Roerith led the reconstruction of Korth’s Cathedral to the Sovereign Host, a massive house of worship at the heart of the Temple Ward. Travelers come from miles around to worship there and see the Dome of the Twelve Moons, the inside of which has a magically animated starscape said to predict the future
