This article is about the worship of Caesius, for information about the Deity see Caesius.

Caesius is a new God in the Realms Pantheon, and the almighty God of Luck and Light. Whilst much is still unknown about him, Caesius embodies the light of the sun, the moon, and the stars, or perhaps even the ever changing sky itself, and the concept of luck. From some accounts he could be considered to be somewhat of a good-natured trickster.

"Look, I don't know why Caesius was created! Maybe the world needed some levity. Things have been so serious of late but life is something that should be enjoyed! Relax, for when darkness comes, there will still be light. Whatever the odds, there will still be hope. Oh that sounded good, someone write that down." - High Priest Chance

Worshippers

Though new to the Realms Pantheon, worship of Caesius is spreading quickly through The Five Realms. He is often worshipped by those who seek a change in fortune, those in need of luck, and those who live their lives in the moment. He is popular among bards and gamblers in particular, though many people have taken to keeping some token to him on them in hope of the luck it might bring them.

Clerics and Priests

Priests and Priestesses of Caesius are free spirits, from all walks of life, who are often afforded extraordinary luck. They do what they can to help the luckless and downtrodden, and where someone has fallen to a particularly bad string of luck, helped to find reconsiliation with Caesius. The position of High Priest is currently filled by Chance.

Temples

Temples to Caesius are often widely varied, and often have some element of whimsy to their design. Many are located on mountains or other elevated positions so that the sky can be appreciated unhindered. Some may have observatories, and some host games of luck within. The High Temple of Caesius can be found in Arimore.

Beliefs

Followers of Caesius believe in infinite possibility, an infinite everchanging sky, where anything can happen. That so long as there is even the smallest chance, anything is possible. That so long as there is light, there is always a way out of the darkness. That no matter what, there is always hope.

Embracing change is a large part of the faith, seeing life as being as everchangingas the sky above. Whilst life may have its ups and downs, followers are generally optimistic that things will turn out well in the end, so long they have faith, try their best, and have luck on their side. They enjoy life as it comes, making the most of things, and taking their chances where they come in order to live a better life without regret.

Some believe that Caesius favours those whose need is greatest, and so newcomers, those in need, the underdog, and the devout are thought to have the odds tipped in their favour. Whilst others see him as a whimsical god, giving a little nudge where the whim takes him. Either way, luck is never guaranteed and should not be wholly relied upon. Those who are reckless, or push their luck may suddenly find themselves without it.

Holy Day

Sunmas is dedicated to Caesius, with dedicated followers and pantheon followers alike leaving more offerings to Caesius throughout the month. At the mid-point of Sunmas lies Caesius's Holy Day, Day of Night, a day where the sun neither rises nor sets, staying in a twilight state with the glow of the sun on the horizon and the moon and stars visible in the night sky above, giving relief from the heat of what was once the hottest day of the year. Followers light or create lights to Caesius, and festivities and games of chance are played throughout the day.

Religious Rites

Offerings - Among usual donations of gold, typical offerings to Caesius include dice, cards, and lucky trinkets.

Afterlife

Those dedicated to Caesius's worship believe that when they die they shall enter The Astral Horizon, an infinite expanse containing all the beauty and possibility of the cosmos.
