Cendis Eclipse

Cendis Eclipse was an outcast Tiefling, ostracized from his rural town within the isolated reaches of The Sarranid Desert, Cendis was burned at the stake by the local townsfolk for his infernal ancestry as a Tiefling. In the heat of the flames, Cendis discovered his natural arcane powers and escaped the bindings before massacring a number of his persecutors and fleeing the town, horribly disfigured. After many days of wandering, alone, Cendis was discovered by The Great Ankheg who took care of him and taught him all he knows, in this time he adorned his signature metal mask which hid his burned features. Deciding to serve the primordial creature, Cendis sought out the Emris Adventuring Guild to put his knowledge to practice and seek out the mysteries of the world which once sought to burn him asunder for his Tiefling ancestry. Joining the wayward band of adventurers known as The Sunsations, he travelled with them for many months, venturing through The Badlands and eventually well into the Burned Woods. It was within the Burned Woods that Cendis would face his greatest challenge yet, in defeating the Vampire Lord, Leonardo the Unliving. Felling the necropolis spire known as The Ebony Tower, Cendis made tracks further into the Burned Woods with his companions before meeting his end at the edge of an ethereal blade of a Undead wight spirit. Rolled into The Sunsations Magic Carpet for a time, he was later buried within the Burned Woods, with his face uncaged by the metal contraption which previously disguised his true self.
