"I don't care if she were me in a past life! I'm not her and never will be so don't punish me for someone else's crimes! Why can't you see me for who I am instead of only seeing me as her shadow?"

Synopsis

Pavlo is a student of Iris College, and a struggling one at that. Buried under an insurmountable stack of essay papers, he was just about ready to drop out when he chanced upon a staff made out of an odd light-swallowing black metal on his way to the office. He was inexplicably drawn to it, and when he found out that there was going to be a class on ancient artifacts, he found himself signing up for said class, hoping that he'd get to know more about the staff. Unfortunately for him, there was a mix up when the artifacts for the class were being delivered: the staff wasn't supposed to have been there and was thus promptly returned to someone's private collection. Now stuck in a class that does not interest him whatsoever, he's just trying his best to make the most out of this already-paid-for experience.

Yet ever since he has come into contact with that staff, he's been having constant blackouts that are getting longer and longer with each passing. Exhaustion? Maybe, but that doesn't quite explain why and how he keeps getting involved in matters that should probably be handled by the authorities. And with a mysterious masked hero appearing in Nova Stellis at the same time, Pavlo can't help but seem to notice things that he's never noticed in the city before. Spirits, monsters, ghosts; perhaps they have always been there, but he's only just realising it now.

Personality

Pavlo has always had a hard time defining his personality. As a child, he was unable and unwilling to see himself as a girl, and so he found it much easier acting as his twin sister than he did as himself. He would often repeat the refrain "It's not Azure, it's Lazuli!", until he eventually learned how to embody her enough that he wouldn't need to.
