Some wealthy adventurers might find themselves wanting for mystical objects. Using these rules, the character can spend time and money to contact sellers of said items. Specific items are available to find as well, but can be more difficult to locate.
The Costs of Doing Business
Finding a seller requires at least five Downtime days and 100 gp in expenses. You can spend more Downtime days and more gold to increase your chances of a finding high quality item.
Arranging the Sale
Make a Charisma (Persuasion) check. This check will determine the quality of the seller you find. You gain a plus one bonus to your check for every five days you spend beyond the first five, and you gain a plus one for every additional 100 gp you spend, to a maximum of +10 to the roll.
The tables below should be consulted to determine the magic item table you get to roll on, how many items the seller has available, and how much the seller is charging for each item.
