Master Lukas is the owner of the Vermillion Pawn and provides services valuing and assessing magical artifacts.

He is a pleasant-looking Dwarf of late middle-age, with a slightly protruding belly, an air of scholarly dishevelment, and cheerful, penetrating blue eyes.

The party visited him with Gerhardt Hauser to have Heinrich Kemmler's robes valued.

On Konistag 28th Sigmarzeit he valued a healing potion for Ravenclaw Darkwood

Around midday you reach Kemperbad and tie up at the wharf.

You take Corrobreth to be treated by Dr Schnipmesser who gives the ddruid some salves and unguents and asks him to return the next day. Corrobreth says he would like to buy you a drink before you part company.

You go to the nearest in and take a table. As you are drinking, Corrobreth asks you where you will go next. Thrumir Bhakdram reveals the last of the 6" cylinders which he found in the cavern near the Devil's Bowl. YOu decide Etelka must be heading there next and that is your destination.

As you prepare to leave, a servant brings you a threatening note. When you ask who sent it, he nods to a hooded man sat at a table by a door with 4 evil looking thugs. As you observe the group, the hooded man starts openly casting a spell. Ravenclaw Darkwood's hands start to tingle and as she looks at them they darken in colour, before returning to normal.

When you look up, the man is already running through the door guarded by his henchmen. Thrumir launches his empty beer tankard at one of the thugs, just missing him. Whilst the rest of you get up and draw weapons, the thugs also flee the bar and you pursue them out the back. By the time you get there they are scattering down different alleyways and you see a horse galloping off into the distance.

Returning to the bar you leave a note for the man should he ever return advising that Kastor isn't dead and is living in Middenheim.

Taking your leave from Corrobreth you obtain supplies and Thrumir again fails to find armour to fit him.

You return to the Helga's Pride. Renate tells you that she's planning to stop at Kemperbad for a while and will be leaving the crew. You're all a bit put out at he idea of having to do your own cooking and tidying.

You begin the 3 day journey down the Reik to the signalling device.
