Half vampire

Not obvious he is a snow elf due to his black hair and dark brown eyes.

The other three Baskerville brothers had long believed Ignatius, Rupert's twin, to be dead. It had been reported he had been killed [by a vampire clan] in the South around the time he reached 532 years of age.

This proved not to be true. Ignatius was turned, but but the process did not fully proceed as expected. After 150 years of dormancy, he emerged as a half vampire and as such did not have some of the weaknesses associated with vampires. He travelled the continent under an assumed name (Irwin Alderan), studying in various universities, inclucing in Trianten and Gairsta, making acquaintances and researching the causes of the Upheavel. In Gairsta, he met another snowelf, Mayach Estillian with whom he cultivated a friendship. It was many years before he became aware that she was part of an ancient 'Order of Light' after he'd moved there with his wife. People he met assumed he was a high elf due to his dark hair and stand-offish countenance. He didn't correct them and used it to his advantage.

In his travels and research, he learned of the 'old magic' in the northlands and came across knowledge of the temples to the seasons, and the thin veils between planes which occurred in that region and made the links to a wizard and advisor to a king in the north. He became obsessed with this advisor, oneThalzoun Amarel and wrote a treatise on him. He also explored Eaoldland, finding the Tower of Souls and learning of the fate of Thalzoun. It was here, he found out about the soul shards of Thalzoun and of the lich's work to have multiple phylacteries and split his soul. In his explorations of the Tower of the Souls Ignatius came into contact with a vestige of Thalzoun's soul which resided in him. He moved away from the magic of wizards, and gained the powers of a warlock.

Around this time, he happened upon Aonach his youngest brother, an ambitious man with a hatred for his middle brother Rupert and the secretive order he led. Ignatius played into this as he was never fond of his twin when he was younger. It turned out both Aonach and the eldest brother, Achenor weren't fond of the brother, and had also turned away from their family looking for power in their own ways.

Latterly, in Seahaven, he met BranwenHiglen, an archaelogist with an interest in the Eaoldland and cultivated an academic relationship with her. It was he who told her of the lost temples and cities. He also fell in love with her daughter, Laegertha. In around 1517 a male child, Tamlin, was born and the family moved to Gairsta where Ignatius worked on as an academic in the university there still under his assumed name. He also reacquainted himself with Mayach as by now he'd learned of her connection with the Caidreachas Solais and thus, one 'head' of the order Unknown Baskerville. He didn't reveal his connection.
In 1535, a female child was born, Ellayne, later known as Ella
