Believed to have once been a powerful Sun Elf paladin and protector of the Sun Sages of old, Nevarath has since been cast into shadowed despair and turned into a wraith like apparition which guards the portal to The Shadowfell underneath Avatar's Tower. Cursed to forever torment those who wish to enter the shadowy plane, Nevarath demands a hefty price from any who wish to enter The Shadowfell. Requiring the sacrifice of something which one truly cares about of loves, Nevarath subsequently burns such items or even creatures which those who enter the portal hold dear, severing their most cherished connections before entering The Shadowfell.
