Shiloh was hired on by Calani on behalf of the Guild of the Blade. He was tasked to work with a group of individuals to look into a "Shadowy Figure". In order to proceed, he and the others needed to pass a trial Calani and Trick hosted. This was to test their collaboration and strengths. They beat the trials and proceeded to investigate Dyonis Park. After following a bloody trial they were face to face with a beggar. This beggar lead them into an alleyway where he collected a body before vanishing and before they were ambushed. After fighting off the group of experiments they were confronted by the beggar once more who warned them not to interfere. Jo'han had found a hidden passageway where Shiloh saw the body of a young girl who wore a Crest of the Star pin.
They proceeded to use the teleporter where Shiloh was welcomed back to the academy with open arms. The gatekeeper recalled his antics as they proceeded to surrender their weapons and constructs at the entrance. They proceeded into the academy to inform the headmaster that two of their students might be dead. She enforced a lockdown and proceeded to have a headcount conducted. The group was also on a lockdown in a visitor room for a short while before being released. They learned that all students were accounted for.
Shiloh headed down to the library to reminisce on all of the old books he read and the times he spent here. The following morning he and the others made their way to the mess hall. He saw Zarconias and Izza and asked them a few questions on something Vix Silvertail had mentioned to him and the others. Vix was growing increasingly worried about something. She wasn't too sure how to explain it but there was something strange happening. Izza proclaimed that if he was wanting to look into any type of information, the best was to find the "Frecia Trio".
The group made their way to the library where Shiloh put on the guise of a teacher. He took notice to the large group of students with one of them sharing an outrageous story about the stars above. Eventually as the group died down, he approached Domino Wittenmyer who was working on schematics of a type of warforged. Shiloh gave some points and tips on how he could improve his design. He learned that Domino wanted to create a self sustaining warforged with the capabilities of learning and feeling.
After developing a connection with Domino, Shiloh asked if he would be willing to help him with something to look into. Domino agreed, and the others alongside Malady Visus and Luna Eventide, made their way out into the courtyard. It was here that they learned that Cecil was not Cecil but Comedina. A fight broke out with two individuals who were the Runners that they had faced the other day. A mysterious student with weapons in hand joined in on the fight prompting Shiloh to attack the student. It wasn't after the fight that they learned that the student was Copper.
Copper had informed them that they needed to pick a side and if they wanted to know more then it was best to go to Kather's Mystics and Wares. After speaking with Domino and leaving things in his hands, Domino had given him and the others some advice. Take a train to his home town of Varla. Domino teleported the group to the nearest city where Erato was able to talk his way into the train yard allowing them to board a train. The ride was nice and smooth until they were under attack by a group of bandits wanting to steal the food.
With a dog and a dire wolf now with them, they arrived in Varla where the put on the guise of being a travelling circus. They camped out on the outskirts of Kather and in the morning investigate a large crater. Shiloh was able to determine that this crater was from a meteorite. The meteorite was in the shape of a rose that was cracked open to reveal a geode like structure inside. The surrounding crater had black roses with vines growing. Shiloh and Jo'Han stopped Erato from taking samples before addressing Kather.
Upon approaching the shop the place was closed. Jo'han broke into the shop successfully setting a small trap off in the process. As they entered Shiloh was able to identify two runes on the ground that would set off more traps. Jo'han suggested fusing his shield to the board with one of the ruins on it. He tested the theory out by jumping onto the rune with his shield. However, what triggered was a nozzle spraying acid on him.
Shiloh noticed nearby a container with an orange gel like substance within it. He emptied the container revealing the gel to be alive as it hid behind the chest. Chef approached the chest prompting the battle of the chest and cabinet to begin. With the pieces broken, Kather had finally arrived. They talked it out with her and she questioned their loyalty and thoughts to the King of Divelinson. Shiloh expressed his distaste for nobility which appeared to be the right answer.
She brought him and the others to the back part of the cavern of her shop where they would be introduced to the Shooting Star Pirates. It was revealed that Captain Kather was an ally to the "Shadowy Figure" and they only needed to wait a few days before being able to meet her. The group decided it was best to wait to speak with her in person after a call was made to Trick and Winda Dough. Trick and Winda both seemed to be concerned with their safety and Trick warned them to not relay any information to Calani.
The following morning Shiloh and Jo'han took up the offer that Kather presented to them in exchange for letting them stay the night. Before they got down to work, Shiloh went into the main shop where Johanna was and sold off the gems that he had.
The two of them were instructed to help her medic JJ and work on some elixirs for some of her crew members that were down. When they walked into the room they found up to sixteen people being tended to by JJ. On a table was a note book that needed to be deciphered. The two got to work and managed to decipher and create three samples from it. With those samples they combined it with the black rose from the crater as per their instructions.
They were able to determine that out of the three, the soothsalts worked the best. However, the results were very minimal it was at least a start to work with. After their experiments the other two returned from their treasure hunt. With all of the money they have collected and gained, treasurer Shiloh separated everything between the group.
It wasn't long before Kather was attacked in the front end of her shop. Shiloh and the others came to her aid where they met Trick and Dria Voxville who joined the battle. After the battle came to an end Dria was able to explain everything to the group. She explained of the corruption happening in the world at the hands of her father Mond Voxville. It was agreed that she and her guild would continue working on the political aspects while they would tackle the beasts. Starting with the beast in Yeezla, it was decided to go to the nearest port city via the bullet train.
On the train at one of the stops they were able to come across Vix Silvertail. Vix shared her mission to capture Comedina and asked if she could travel with them for the time being. It was agreed and they reached the port city. Here, they determined that they were needing men to sail the ship any further. After a drunken night they were able to locate some soldiers but failed to recruit them the following morning. Wondering how they were going to sail the ship they pulled from a bottle provided by Kather, they learned that the ship was sentient. Thus their new friend Delilah agreed to bring them to their destination.
