Session 95: An Experimental Realm, begone O' Drenched Lands

Player Journal

Tuvron rumbles. Deep in the earth of Sanctum Beta, Fortune's Vanguard extracted the Fragment of Isolation. In response, the very earth began to shudder from the roils of an earthquake.

With the artifact held by Xael, he trudged through the Vault's chamber with both hands occupied. Ripley was caught under a boulder. A bite from Xael took enough of the rock away to aid her escape. Milu Soma maintained our focus during the catastrophe. Cleis Frostclaw's strength was sapped by noxious gas as we made our way upstairs. J'ack Rameur kept the way clear as Woodsworth Moure carried the now-unconscious Caduceus.

In the Vault's upper antechamber, Richmond Bleek stood afraid of the situation. We moved as one - through chamber to hallway, through unworking door and beyond a wall of force. It seemed for certain one of us would be lost. Were it not for the gaze of the Spirit of Luck and Life, we may not have made it.

Despite fissures under the ground, the teleportation circle was active. It hauled us, in a flash of light across Tuvron. We appeared in the courtyard at the Angry Meat Building. Many weeks ago, we had not cleared out its yard denizens. We were assailed.

It was a close combat given our already weakened state and the benefits of range from the huge skeletal creatures. A shot from Ripley dealt the final blow. We rested inside the inner building. The earthquake subsided by half a minute later.

The next day, Woodsworth and Xael cured the party's ability damage and other afflictions.

A question was poised to Richmond: "How many days are in a week?"

He thought the question preposterous.

With Xael, Woodsworth would head outside to stare the sun with True Seeing. Its celestial body would be too far away from the rising saint's sight. But then he tried another spell; one last used on Rosemore Island.

Focusing on the staff, he sent part of his spirit away from Tuvron. He arrived in a spiritual Library of Knowledge, one that contains all that has, could, and would be. The spell worked! His first questions:

What is Tuvron?

An Experiment.

Who is Richmond Bleek?

Richmond Bleek is of the Bleek Family.

Does the Spirit of Caduceus exist Outside of Tuvron?

No.

Woodsworth would return to his allies. He would inform them of what he had learned. Ripley expressed discomfort at the idea. The Captain insisted that if others have questions to ask, then he is willing to send their spirit there too.

But for now, we maneuvered our way back to the boat. With Sending to Sheldon, the boat had arrived in a day's time and a week of our group. Taking stealth to not fight more things, we were spotted by some loud birds. Near the boat-site, we found a strange fogged cave entrance where the undead pick up in quantity.

We reunited with the crew of The Discovery.

Many of our roster we happy to see us, and the deckhands received enough experience to level up! We introduced Richmond Bleek to the crew, stating that he is an honored guest and passenger.

Echur has been spying on the Fragment of Creation (Octahedral Crystallizer) and has discovered it can be used at length to save much of the reagents used. Similarly, she has been scrying on our party from afar. She advised Woodsworth to not hide anything from Finance. He told her that we do not know what the Fragment of Isolation can do.

We confirmed with Waking Bittercress that the Veil has been Lifted, which refers to the "obstruction" that was discovered long ago.

We made plans to return to Tulsa-aria, using the time traveled to gather information through magic. The Idol Caduceus grants Woodsworth Moure access to Akashic Communion, Commune, Legend Lore, and more.

Through Marionette Possession, the Caretaker's spirit may serve as an anchor for another to benefit from these spells in his stead. His knowledge is limited to the planes, religion, and nature. He will not bear this burden alone.

And so, the The Discovery left the Sunwreath Isles, turned towards the mainland, and set sail! Twenty Days marks our journey back to Dubkov...

Richmond would approach Woodsworth the night into the journey.

"There's 7." (our question answered)
