The Feast of Egland's Best

Ceremony, Disaster
3466-3-69

On Setting Orange, the 69th of Confusion, 3466 YOLD, a feast of Egland's Best went from Dinner to Disaster quite quickly.

Woodsworth Moure, Caduceus, Bird Face, Fae Wight, and Cleis Frostclaw all sat down at a table together at the beginning of the feast, where everyone's orders were taken. A wonderful band was playing in the background, and one by one, the guests were being taken into the back by The Slowcart Foundation. Upon entering the back room, they would be greeted by Lady Bethany Eg, and Helen, and then would be adorned with a beautiful Strange Amulets

Shortly after their arrival, Kr'af sat down at their table, and food was ordered. Bird showed off his excellent...owl dietary habits while everyone else picked at their food. Kr'af thought everything was a bit weird, and decided to head out early - Caduceus began getting a bit panicky, so Woodsworth and him stepped just outside the dining area to calm down the little bunny idol of luck. Moments later, the idol's name was called, and the "Gilded Guard" (their uniform was lacking an important insignia) struck out at the party. Woodsworth put the few of them to sleep, before they were all accused of murder (Byrd's punches to unconscious bodies notwithstanding.)

The escape began with retrieving their items from the coats area. Inside the buffet, those with the amulets began to grab the others, and force them under the presumed mind control. Even Bethany Eg had one of those amulets on, but none of the party was able to see her fate. With the rapidly ensuring chaos, the group ran out through the back cargo area of the estate - into the alleyways, graciously defended by the heroine Fae Wight.

A chase in the alleys took a bit over an hour, with Byrd running off to trip up (punch the fuck out of) some of the assailants. A quick rest happened, where Woodsworth learned of Fae's inability to be healed by his magicks. Kr'af directed the group to head towards the docks.

A stealthy interlude through the docks sector ended with the Puppetmaster Byrd's attempt to dissuade the guards from following up on a noise they heard. A litany of traps scribed by Cleis allowed the group ample time to run across the docks, witness the conjuring of Kr'af's craft, and boarded it just in time for a volley of crossbow bolts to narrowly miss the ship. They sailed into the stormy darkness, most of them barely conscious, into the morning.

The Fate of Egland may now rest with the group, escorting one of the last celebrities of the nation: Caduceus
