The party was contacted by the local merchant lord of Saltcliffe. A young man named Anders Solmor. A recent shipment of Firewatch Mead has gone missing, apparently never having left the monastery that rests on Firewatch Isle. The party was tasked with heading out, and discovering what had waylaid his shipment of mead.

Firewatch island rests offshore of Saltcliffe, so the party contracted the local ferry captained by a surly yet unnatural man. Delivered at Firewatch, the party discovered that the isle, and monastery was abandoned. Searching through the uninhabited structure, they find signs of a recent combat, as well as a pair of sea hags that have been making themselves at home. Given a bit of respite by the hags, they enjoyed the Fae's hospitality, learning some history of Firewatch isle, as well as the original purpose of the monastery which had been converted from a fortress.

The current inhabitants had been abducted by a group of undead pirates. The former crew from an abyssal sailing vessel named the Tammeraut, the vessel now serves as a vent, an opening in the material plane through which Orcus can force through his influence. The party delivered the survivors to the mainland before setting out with the ferryman to the deeps, sinking down to face down the now Drowned Captain of the Tammeraut and seal the vent to Orcus' layer of the abyss once and for all.

With the rift sealed, and Orcus' vile magics no longer having hold in the region, the souls of the sea animals the undead pirates had been freed once more. Lacking the physical forms they needed to return to, they faced the dreadful and tortured fate of becoming specters. Luckily, the friendship cleric Vorqir was there to accept these souls into his body, carrying them with him as a Tattoo. So was born the legend of Vorqir, of a Hundred Friends.
