House Salceck is a poor but renowned noble house of Waterdeep. The Salceck house is known not for their influence, their wealth, or their political weight, but rather for one singular reason. Their swordsmanship. House Salceck produces the best fencers known to the sword coast, and accredit this knowledge to a secret art of blademastery no other human house in Waterdeep has managed to emulate. Nearly two centuries ago, a scion of House Salceck, out adventuring to make a name for himself, encountered a wood elf on his journey. He spent years adventuring together. They became more than friends, two heroes finding solace in each other's company, and the elf taught Salceck the secret arts of the elven blade dance. Nearly a decade of adventuring passed, and Salceck grew old. One morning, the elf woke alone, his companion gone, having returned home to live a life of luxury amongst his family, and more importantly, pass on the knowledge given in trust and love.
