The Pirate Market of Skull River Bay is infamous across the The Thousand Isles as a place where you can buy anything regardless of minor details like "does the person selling me this thing legally own it".  The goods in this place are generally so hot they should be glowing. You can often buy entire captured ships and their cargo in one transaction. 

Nonetheless, the market is always busy, and not just populated by unsavory types. Plenty of normally respectable customers flock here in search of the deals of a lifetime. Natives of half a dozen continents, from Mbo, Valtentis and even farther afield often mingle in the bazaar. The twice yearly Festival Auctions are especially well attended since in addition to mundane items of great worth and variety. magical items are also often offered up for sale. 

Lum , the auctioneer, specializes in the buying and selling of rare and sometimes magical items. He has built his reputation on only offering legitimate and verified goods, and thus these items can often sell for astronomical prices. 

It is also rumored that while the pirate market is strange during the day, it is considerably stranger at night.
