The youngest daughter of Balayang, the Jealous Bat, whom he had with a human woman. The deep jealousness of her father was dispelled by the spark of divinity from her mother, Bunjil's gift to humanity. In its wake emerged such a deep desire for justice that all tribes and all kingdoms consulted her for advice in matters of law and judgement. Though not particularly strong, she is the most skilled god at the art of war.

On one occasion two kingdoms had a dispute over the hand of a beautiful princess, and though Kunapipi rendered her judgement on the matter, the disfavoured kingdom chose to go to war in the knowledge that its soldiers were many more and stronger. It is then that Kunapipi borrowed Barraiya's meteorite spear, which could pierce through many men and any shield, and a set of heavy leather armour. She commanded the weaker kingdom's army, annihilating its opponents with genius strategies, novel tactics and unbreakable fervor in the justness of their war effort. Kunapipi ordered the victorious king to spare the other's realm, only demanding a moderate amount of tribute and land, to which he agreed.

Despite her relative insignificance in divine terms, Kunapipi is an important deity for those who work in law and warfare. She is the patron of lawyers, judges and professional soldiers.
