Recent History
The events of the Nagi Holocaust have left the Nagi within Manzil hostile and distrusting towards people from outside their borders.

General Description
The Nagi are one of the more visually unusual races of Orth. Resembling snakes with a humanoid upper torso and arms but retaining the snake-like head, the Nagi are huge, visually striking and intimidating. Scale patterns are highly individual and often unique from Nagi to Nagi. They are one of the most diverse races in the world, with dozens of different variations even amongst the same populations. While some have the hoods of cobras with others may have the horns or pit vipers.  There are many more variations.

Language
Nageen is an interesting tongue, with a great deal of inflection and dependence on context but very few letters and heavy use of the letter “s”.

Alchemical Geniuses
The Nagi are masters of alchemy and potion-making, able to produce poisons and tonics of a million different effects, incredibly powerful chemicals such as gunpowder, a multitude of strange and unusual materials for use in their society and even items like [soul gems]. These items are often absurdly powerful but also unpredictable and unstable.

It is rumoured this expertise was inspired by their own
Nagi Venom

Xenophobia
Thanks to centuries of being beaten down by fate for getting involved with the outside world, nationalism and racism is rife amongst Manzili Nagi, The level this antagonistic behaviour extends to varies from race to race but the Trolls, who the Nagi blame for much of their past suffering, are subject to the worst, frequently getting mugged or assaulted. As a result, most races steer clear of Manzil. Nagi living outside Manzil don't share this same extreme reaction but still have an instinctive distrust of Trolls.

Living Weapons
The Nagi are extremely skilled at melee combat due to their physical abilities. They can move incredibly fast in very short bursts, able to propel their top two-thirds in a lunge that can hit targets before they have a chance to react. They also frequently have venomous fangs which is very effective at slowing down enemies, and their immense muscle mass can be used to crush a foe in their coils or even just strike them with their snake tail.
The magic invented the Khopesh sword to fit their free-flowing form

Armour Restriction
One of the main issues of the Nagi is their body shape. While it makes them essentially a sentient battering ram and whip, it makes building armour for themselves very difficult as plate armour would restrict their movement. As a result, Nagi tend to wear leather armour with the only plate they can wear being breastplates and helmets. As most of their organs are in the snake part of the body, this makes them very vulnerable if they don’t keep moving in combat.

Size Issues
The average Nagi’s size is also a problem, as their sheer physical bulk, especially considering that the majority of it is in contact with the ground most of the time, can make them somewhat clumsy, especially if they lack in spatial awareness, and can also make it hard for them to maneuver around in small spaces.
