This, the mother church of the Church of Hoof and Horn, is not actually situated in Síocháin itself but rather on the very edge of the city, on a small hill outside of the harbour and overlooking the beach. The site on which it sits is said, according to legend, to be the place where Leannan gave birth to Herne, hence the choice to build the cathedral in this somewhat remote location. It is notable for, despite its importance to its respective faith, being rather small and understated, something which many Hoof and Horn church buildings also tend to be.
