  • Cleaning up after fight
    • Interrogating surviving bandit
      • Name is Goghea
      • He’s scared and pissed off at the squad leader - Guy
        • Guy was first one that approached Thistle
        • Wasn’t supposed to confront him, just talk
      • “We were only supposed to invited you to talk to Jimmy - the boss.”
        • Jimmy De Nattie, leader of the Ravens, wanted to talk to them, was fine with them not talking to him yet.
        • Guy decided he was going to “impress the boss” by dragging you guys if necessary
      • “That ass-hole attacked you, and then it was too late”
        • Not the first time he’s fucked up
      • “If they die, the whole of the Ravens will be after you”
        • Worried especially about Todag (bugbear) and Crogak (orc) since they took the brunt of the damage
        • Asks party to bind the bandit’s wounds so they don’t die
        • Party agrees.
      • “Boss wanted to talk to you about the Hawkbloods”
        • Heard you have beef with them
        • Ravens have beef too
        • Maybe we could help each other?
      • Let me send for help, and you can bugger off.
        • Goghea will go to Jimmy and explain what happened
    • Party drags all the bodies to slump against a building
      • Bind their wounds so they won’t bleed out
      • Goghea sends for help for other bandits
        • Going to nearby building with Thistle
        • Delivering a message to the old man living there
        • Heads back to scene of the fight
        • Suggests meeting Jimmy on neutral ground
          • Square in the middle of North Neuville
          • Neutral for all factions in the city
          • Used to facilitate discussions/negotiations/exchanges
          • Enforced by all factions - vigorously enforced
    • Party discussion
      • Discussion about what to do
        • Could just ignore this and go to Bostian Embassy
        • Could meet and figure out what the attack was all about
        • Desperately need more information, this is an opportunity
        • Agree to meet at square in 45 min
    • Goghea heads off
    • Party goes to central square for meeting
      • Central square is neutral ground
      • Lots of shops around square
        • Touristy stuff, restaurants, information booth
      • Lots of militia in evidence
        • V obvious - in uniform, armed, standing at parade rest in shelters around the square
      • Square is fairly busy
        • Fair number of people in square, about 50/50 Autiersian and foreigners
        • Very mixed group, but no obvious rogues, thieves, pickpockets, etc.
      • Party gets food, talks to some of the vendors
      • Arrival of Jimmy De Nattie
        • Discussion about the “invitation committee”
        • Apologies for inappropriate actions of Guy
          • “He will be dealt with appropriately”
        • Asks them what their beef was with the Hawkblood Gang
          • Heard about what happened at the Yellow Pig Tavern
          • Heard about the confrontation at the grocers
          • Confused by them then going to the casino
          • Party explains re: stuff being stolen
        • Party starts to talk about being sleepers
      • Jimmy invites them to dinner
        • “I know a place nearby”
    • Discussion at Conspiracy House
      • Jimmy gets a private dining room
      • Ordering drinks
      • Talking about the party being sleepers
        • No idea what happened
        • Party relays that they’re pissed off about being stolen from
      • Jimmy lets it be known that they can “arrange a meeting” with Gianno Twothumbs if they give him a couple of days.
        • He’s v interested in why the Hawkbloods are involved in this
          • Automatically makes him oppose it
          • Hawkbloods and Ravens got beef
            • HBG have taken away their access to the river for smuggling
            • Have to do different things
            • Want to get smuggling back
      • Jimmy also offers to get wizard to investigate and talk to them about their experience
      • "Where can I get in touch with you"
        • Party relays that they’re going to be at the Shipwrights’ Guildhouse for the next couple of weeks.
    • Heading back to Shipwright’s Guildhouse
      • Get there and find that there’s a letter for them
      • From a wizard at the University of Magic and Mysteries
        • Inviting them to meet at a building just outside of the campus
        • Author says name is “Dominique Du Beaucampt”, and she’s a wizard at the University of Magic and Mysteries
    • Deciding what to do
      • Finding that they were being observed at the guild house
      • No idea who’s observing them
        • Chased them, but lost them
    • Going to building near university
      • Taking a cab there, losing any pursuit
    • Heading up stairs to third floor
      • Fairly quiet building - lots of offices
      • Door they were sent to has the name “Dominique de Beaucampt” on it
