Hoffren is an athletic and proud centaur. Even though he’s already taken a mare for himself he can be a show off to the point of coming off as vain, especially in front of other mares. Gidget’s relationship was always strained with him. He was quietly offput by Gidget’s short and bulky stature. She didn’t exemplify the expectation of beauty and Gidget felt like he was always ashamed of her, though he never said it outwardly. He always paid attention to her older sister who was a picture of grace. Even when she took up the honorable position as guard, he didn’t seem impressed.
