Withering Whisper

Rarity

Extremely rare

Description

A delicate flowering vine found in the Tempest Hills down into the Deep Wilds. Has dark, curling stems with brighter green blooms. Does poorly in noisy areas.

Interactions

Very popular among a variety of birds.

The only plant that Loki's Razor can be commonly found in front of, rather than in the shadow of. The two grow well together, but the other vine's parasitism can harm or kill the more delicate plant in some situations.

Dangers

Its common proximity to Loki's Razor can make gathering difficult.

Withdrawal from medical use can cause sleep disturbances and a temporary inability to recognize or distinguish human faces.

Medicinal Uses

The flowers can be used to aid general speed of healing and recovery. The effect is rather minor but becomes stronger with continual use.

Culinary Uses

None.

Practical Uses

Though the vine is not sturdy, incorporation into some types of rope can make the final product much more durable.

Other Uses

Sometimes cultivated for decorative purposes or to attract birds, but very difficult to keep alive outside of its home range.

A good stretch of flooded bogland. Perhaps particularly gnarly to navigate through and generally avoided as a result, but otherwise perfectly ordinary as far as anyone remembers. There are sometimes rumors of blighthounds guarding the resting places of unknown dead, but that isn't terribly rare around here, either...
