Session 0 for Oris

Prep

Flashback scene in the feywild. Oris, Gina and some of the kids are playing in a forest, with butterflies, when they Oris smells something rotten.

A pack of dead wolves. A bunch of summer eladrin shout a firing shot, and in a germanic accent, tell them to back off if they don't want to follow the same fate. These are hunting grounds of the summer court.

Wake up in the Greenhill Inn to the sound of rain hitting the roof. Gina woke up early and it already out and about running errands for Joane Toolie. Joane greets Oris in the morning with some breakfast, and says that Kamile Trudgeon from the orphanage came by this morning and asked for some help with her garden.

On his way to the orphanage, he can smell cheese from the market. Garret Highbrew calls out to Oris "Oris my friend! Come here, you have to try my newest goat cheese!" A cheese that has a herby/peaty smell. It's quite good. He's hoping to get a delivery or camel goat from the southern continent of Medina in the next few weeks, if the rain doesn't make it too difficult. He's paid a large premium to have it delivered all the way up here.

It stops raining. Oris is greeted by the children wanting to play with him (a shy goblin boy called Potin' has taken a liking to him). He can inspect the gardens and discover that someone has been unrooting the various plants. Might be children, but looks more like some... moles? Which have been chased out of their home from a giant centepiede. He can go confront it in the nearby swamps, or find the moles a new home.

The swamps are dangerous, especially with the recent non-stop rain. In the swamp, the centipede is dead, killed by sharp claws, something ghastly. A high nature check can reveal it's from a Wight.

Kamile tells him to come by the next day for a present for his troubles.

Back at the Inn after a hard day's work, he finds Gina sleeping by the fireplace with Joane working on knitting Oris a new scarf.
