Xanthia - Session 125? - Salve

Account

Session 125(?) - 7 March 2023

Xan looked up at the sights before her. Helikaon once again on the floor half dead, and a statue form of Calliope standing majestically above her.

Hipofilius lay a hand on Helikaon and he raised his head,. Hopofilius then threw a pot of salve at her, and unscrewing it Xan realised it was meant for Calliope.

She gently began applying the salve to the Siren’s hands, her finger tips first then gently running the salve up her arms. When she saw that it took effect she ran a gentle swipe across her eyes and face, bringing her back to life. As Calliope's eyes came back into focus, Xan pulled Helikaon to his feet and put him directly in front of her face. His hand gently resting on her shoulder seemed to steel her - for a statue at least. Xan continued to apply to salve to Calliope on the skin that showed under her tunic. Xan shouted back to her companions, checking who was still standing - a loud moo confirmed Braz was at least standing, if more bovine than usual. Alke shouted back and Xan heard Moxena rushing about in the next room.

She continued to apply the salve to Calliope, and slowly but surely she began to speak, cough and make futteral stoney noises. Her words rumbled out of her mouth in a gravelly tone but she was there. She was alive. Together they continued the salve, and Calliope was able to access her bag and pass a potion to Alke. Theo was not okay.

Xan updated Calliope on the situation - Theo needed help. But before they could help him they must free the Siren from the marble entirely. As they worked on the salve, Xan told Calliope of the battle from when she was turned to stone.

As Theo returned to them to a wave of fear poured out of him. He shreiked and stumbled away down the corridors away into one of the barracks. Xan carefully followed him, ensuring her co-captain would not face more danger.

As he cowered in the corner on one of the bunks Xan perched on a table opposite, keeping a watchful eye until be returned to himself.

Some short kind words later, exclamations of close friendship and Theo confirming he was pleased to see her face, and they returned to the group to hear from Moxena.

She rewrote history, and placed herself a hero of the battle. A letter was to be delivered to Hapatia to confirm this truth. The child in the jail cell brought conflict in the group. Moxena claimed she was oathbound to protect her and she would not cause her harm.
