Exploring the Citadel and party with the Bumblebrashers

Bright and early, Krystoff heads over to Janus’ and receives a new set of Red Hellknight-like Armor. As it was not full hellknight plate, it does not have the typical devil faces on it but is still quite jagged and spikey. Krystoff puts his Iomedean tabard over the front to somewhat hide how Evil it looks, somewhat unsuccessfully as it looks a bit silly.
He sells the Chainmail he was using until then.

The group returns to Citadel Altaerein and before heading to the basement, decide to explore the rest of the top floor and battlements to on the North Side.

We find an area that looks like a Courtroom. As we decide to take a break and Krystoff is repairing his shield, a massive warg appears and chomps down on Eevie.
Krystoff and Jae rush to her help before it can jump out of a hole in the wall with their tiny friend, and almost by miracle, manage to save her and kill the beast.

In a nearby room, they find two Warg puppies, and decide to care for them, at least temporarily.
As we continue exploring, we find a collapsed floor with water down below. On a muddy lump in the center of the pool is what seems to be a corpse.

We explore the rest of the top floor. Eevie almost becomes Warg food. Fight Giant Turtles, Exploding Skeletons and a Giant bat Sleep at Goblin Camp.

As Jae jumps down to check the corpse, the mound comes to life, revealing it’s the shell of a large snapping turtle.
A second one appears nearby and we have to fight them and kill them. The corpse on is back turns out to be a lure for prey.
As we go further through the second floor we also fight some skeletons that were in some cells and exploded when we killed them, as well as a Giant Bat, which Jae skinned and took the wings of to see if he could craft something. Ah, and also a few Giant Rats.

With the rest of the Citadel cleared out, we revisit the Goblins outside and get some information on what to expect below.

The Goblins draw a crude map of what their home looks like, and tell us about a bear they’ve been feeding and keeping locked in there named “Big Bumble”

We spend the night Camping outside with the Bumblebrashers before we head down. They had quite a celebration on reclaiming the top floor of the Citadel and were excited about possibly being able to get down below again.
