Zetu, Son of Rask

"He was a great man once, my mentor. He taught me to control my rage." -Ash'lorath Orianna

An orc priest from the Wartorn Hills of Prim'terra, he embraced the faith of Celestian but was inducted as an apprentice into a succession of Guardians. These Guardians were to be the keepers of a secret and uncredited guides to the secret's subject matter.

In an effort to shed his old burdens and fully accept the role of Guardian he went on a spirit walk that took him near the border to the Wastelands of Al'akir. There he encountered a group of Tabaxi refugees, holy folk, who were fleeing with relics of great importance from an evil threat. When they spoke of their requirements of keeping the relics safe (a place touched by no land), it lined up with where his term as Guardian was meant to take place and Zetu took it as a sign.

The old Grushin (Orc) guided the holy folk to the city of The Drift where he hid the relics within a Sanctuary of Celestian he had built there. Years later he took on an apprentice of his own, Za-Za the Bold, a sprite who sought to become a paladin of Ehlonna. Together they ran the sanctuary, why Zetu continued to tend to the Secret he kept. Zetu also started a orphange for a time caring for various Stow children, and eventually became a mentor to Ash'lorath Orianna helping her to learn how to control her rage and out her energy to better pursuits than war.

The ancient sea hag Pestra Marrowspit sought this Secret and began searching around the city, Zetu learn of this in time to sail to an old friend who was learned in how to deal with hags. His name was Elarion Edmaris, a Mori'tani (High Elf) wizard who resided at the Isle of L'taris. There they came up with the one solutuion that might work to protect the Secret from Pestra. To fight fire with fire.

Zetu returned to The Drift and summoned a rival hag, Agaia Greenteeth, and made a deal to secure the Secret from his mind in a way no hag could access, and in return he  would serve her. She had him create a cult caled The Untold of the Many and work towards fulfilling an ancient prophecy called The Unravelling. While the cult thought the were zealots serving the evil god Erynthul, in fact they were serving Agaia for she seeded this false prophecy herself a thousand years prior. Under the leadership of Zetu, he was able to maintain much of his free will in how he met her goals and kept them from killing.

Later Pestra had caught up with the Wizard of L'taris, but all she gleaned before his death was that the next clue was with Zetu. She caught and tortured him until she realized he had the Secret at one point but Agaia took it. In retaliation, she transformed Zetu into a Deep Scion loyal to her and through him stole the cult.

After unleashing the cult in ore violent ways agaianst his will, Zetu's disciplined might fought the Deep Scion personality. It was a slow losing battle which ended after the Massacre during the Halcyon Days, where shortly after the adventurers caught up with him and put him out of his misery. Though he warned them that a second Deep Scion existed, one who was not able to resisted and embraced the evil.

Kovos Anavath

"He was a good man once, until about five years ago when he was the only survivor of a failed mission." -Ash'lorath Orianna

Kovos was a commander of the proud Stormwatch military on The Drift. They were based in the Surge district, and managed the prison known as the Keelhaul. He was often described as a good man, though in 2417 EC he was the sole survivor of a failed mission to transport supplies from a mine back to the city. He was assumed dead for a month before he returned, barely able to swim.

After that he became colder and more strict in what tasks the Stormwatch took seriously and became a close advisor of Zeddes Nezarsath, the city's Sea baron. It would later be revealed that Kovos had indeed died on that mission, as Pestra Marrowspit had captured, tortured, and transformed him into a Deep Scion to further her goals in the city as the scion was able to shape change back into Kovos and kept all of his memories.
