27th Olarune - 6th Therendor, 1000 YK
- With Leonus's player present, we re-visit what Leonus did during the time they were still in Sharn.
- Leonus and Lozaal go to taverns and the tea shop in Grauwand and Leonus introduces Lozaal to his favourite Karrnathi beverage: Teryk Berry Ale.
- Leonus reports at the embassy, but doesn't receive any new orders at the moment. Lozaal goes with him and chats with Syra ir’Tarrn, who tells him all about an actress that she's started seeing.
13th Therendor, 1000 YK
- Most of the party (minus Kalshana and Warden) arrive at Avrahk Mbar'ost.
- Between Starilaskur and New Cyre, Lozaal buys a herd of 20 goats (he read somewhere that you need about 20 to have a proper herd). He doesn't know why Kal wanted a goat, but he's done it.
- As they pass through New Cyre, they skirt around the village center as Leonus is a bone knight.
- On the approach to the fort, Kyn appeared and told them it was a cargo inspection. Lozaal said they have alcohol and told him to fuck off. He said that wasn't very nice, but he'd let it slide and teleported away.
- Leonus is confused. "Is he like...a guard?"
- Lozaal responds "no, he's an (expensive) tool."
- They explain Kyn's whole deal, that he can teleport himself and others and that's where the horses disappear to every night.
- Lozaal is concerned that Kyn might be extorting any travellers on the road with his "cargo inspections".
- Lozaal asks if Leonus is carrying any alcohol, but he's not. Lozaal warns Leonus that any alcohol he has might disappear when in Avrahk Mbar'ost. Leonus is baffled, is this weird green guy a master thief or something?
- They finally get to the fort. Pierce is perplexed by the goats, but lets them in.
- Lozaal tells Leonus to find somewhere to sleep, but Leonus is happy with just a bunk in the guard room.
- Leonus is introduced to all of the others at the fort. He's creeped out by both Mauriana Teskely and Juniper (Lei's homunculus).
- Terfel comes out to see the bone knight that the others have brought into their home. "He's been helping us since Droaam." "Has he."
- Terfel asks how long Leonus has been a soldier for Karrnath, and if he's still serving. Leonus says he still is in a way, and Dax states explicitly that he takes orders from the crown.
- Dax fills Terfel in on the Emerald Claw attack in Sharn.
- Leonus detects that Terfel maybe doesn't like him/Karrnath very much. He imagines he probably doesn't like Cyre so much either, considering their sacking of Atur.
- "Their country blew up bro let it go"
- Leonus decides to take the L on this one, he doesn't want to antagonize anyone.
- Dax yells up to Kyn, who is on the roof of the tower, but he doesn't seem to hear her. She wants to talk to him.
- She catches him in the stables later in the day, and has their chat.
- She asks him if he's been ambushing people on the road for "cargo inspection". He acts confused and says that was a joke, for them, because they had a new guy and he wanted to freak him out. Dax brought him some booze! It was a waterskin full of water, though.
- Kyn asks Dax about the sky, and if the ring has "always looked like that". She's confused, but he's a bit vague about what he means. Apparently it looks different where he's from.
- Terfel takes the others up to the (now renovated) second floor of the fortress, and shows them to their rooms. Individual rooms! The lap of luxury.
- Leonus hides the keg of Karrnathi Ale that he lied and said he didn't have.
14th Therendor - 11th Eyre, 1000 YK
- Lozaal goes out with Mauriana to find a place for her Head-House. She picks a location in the woods, along the stream that originates within the fort. Lozaal finds a rock formation nearby that he can adapt into a head for her, but she wants her Head-House to be actually in the woods.
- Mauriana mentions the Face of Mror, that the dwarves claim that the mountains are actually progenitor dwarves who fell asleep. Mountains without faces are just dwarves who fell asleep on their fronts.
- They work together to make an authentic-ish Warforged Colossus head for Mauriana to live in.
- Lozaal also gilds the skull for Leonus.
- Lozaal spends the rest of his time crafting an Adamantine Naginata. He wants to plate it with byeshk but currently lacks the means to do so (Arcane Manufactory). He stores it with the Oracle of War, as it's not finished and he doesn't want to use it until it is.
- Dax spends much of her time sparring and in New Cyre, using her magic to entertain children. She gets them to perform a play, using Seeming to make them actually look like their characters.
- Dax casts Sending to contact Kal and check how things are going. Dax shares the good news!
- Terfel approaches Dax about all the knives she gave Llyr. He gave up trying to take the knives away.
- Terfel then asks Dax about Leonus, and Dax confirms his trustworthiness but he has a tendency to hide things (they're working on it).
- Terfel requests that Leonus spar with him. They spar, and Mauriana cheers from the sidelines and provides overly graphic suggestions for what they should do to each other.
- During the fight, Terfel questions Leonus on his actions during the war. Leonus is laser focused on the fight and doesn't entertain the conversation, suggesting they should talk about it later. The awkwardness of this isn't helped by Mauriana's taunting. Terfel ends the fight by summoning his echo in frustration at Leonus's attitude, and Leonus throws the book at him like "c'mon man there are rules" and then gets punched.
- Terfel doesn't like Leonus. Dax says he sometimes says the wrong things, but they have a lot in common!
- After the fight, Leonus goes to practice his mace and Terfel criticizes his form. Leonus mutters that he'll be long dead before he takes training advice from a Cyran.
- "Maybe you should, I killed a lot of you"
- "I don't even remember how many of you I killed. I couldn't tell the difference between the farmers and the soldiers."
- Nine and Six this is very tense.
- Terfel says that Leonus will not stay in the fort. He comes into our home and insults him, and rejects his attempt to reach out. They can talk it out later, but Terfel wants him out of the fort.
- Dax leads Leonus out of the fort and asks him what he wants to do. He has his camping gear, or he could stay in New Cyre. He's gonna camp out with his undead horse.
- Smash cut to the swamp, where Kal and Warden are celebrating his Gatekeeperhood with the animals and the druids.
- Warden wants to go check on the Bull Hollow, because they're close, but the eldritch entity in his head that controls his words and actions thinks they should get the rest of the party first before going on other adventures.
- Warden uses Scrying to check on the Bull Hole. The spell failed, which bamboozled him. Possibly the seal blocked the spell?
- The next day, he tries to scry on Bull Hollow, which also fails. Something is definitely blocking scrying.
- Warden communicates this to Kal by saying that something is "definitely fucky wucky at the bull hole".
- Kal doesn't know what to do about this and kinda puts herself down. Spinks makes a show of lifting his hand up and then putting it back down on her shoulder.
- Kal tries to talk Warden into going to get the others, in case something is at Bull Hollow that they can't handle. Spinks agrees.
- Warden only just now has the realisation that Dah'mir was only at Bull Hollow because of Kalshana and her friends (half of which are now dead). Whoops.
- Maybe they should go back and check on the fort?
- Smash cut to Leonus out in the rain because he doesn't actually have a tent. Dax casts Tiny Hut to give him some shelter.
- Smash cut back to the swamp where the swamp bois are swampin.
- Warden and Kal head back to Zarash'ak and get a ship to Sharn.
12th Eyre - 24th Eyre, 1000 YK
- Warden and Kal arrive back in Sharn and get the Lightning Rail to Starilaskur.
- Warden crafted another Potion of Greater Healing on the ship.
- Dax encourages Leonus to reach out to Terfel and try to bridge their differences.
- Leonus approaches Terfel and apologises for his behaviour, explaining that the situation escalated and he said things he didn't mean. Terfel acknowledges that Leonus is reaching out and is apologising. Leonus tries to continue the conversation that Terfel tried to start when sparring, but Terfel says he's too busy. Leonus is okay to stay in the fort now though.
- Terfel suggests they go to a tavern to talk it out later, which Leonus accidentally scoffs at (because he's a beer snob).
- Terfel then goes to Dax and asks what she sees in Leonus, and why is he with them??
- Dax provides some of the context behind Leonus joining them, and the stuff they've dealt with since. It's hard to find people who are willing or able to stand against threats like the Emerald Claw or Vorlintar.
- Dax mentions that Leonus doesn't seem to have any hobbies, but he did go see a play with them! (which he hated, but she omits that).
- Terfel mentions that Dax was organising a play, maybe Terfel could get involved and reach out to them that way.
- Dax and Terfel talk it through, and Dax states it can be hard to bridge the gap when they aren't speaking the same language (metaphorically).
- Terfel asks about Kal and Warden, who aren't here yet. He suggests they prepare a feast for when they come back.
- Dax hopes that the Shadow Marches haven't dragged up bad memories for Kal. The events in Sharn were heavy, they had to make choices that resulted in peoples deaths.
- Terfel asks Dax, finally, why they brought the goats. Dax says that Kal wanted a goat.
- "A goat?"
- "Yes, but it would be sad by itself"

- Kal and Warden arrive at Avrahk Mbar'ost.
