World Chronicle

Planar Expanse (PX) 1 — 6

In the beginning there was only scattered planes, moving independently within the astral sea. This was until an incredible force ripped through the planes, first the elemental planes of water, earth, fire, and air. They were ripped into thousands of pieces and scattered across the astral sea, and over time as they attempted to reconstruct themselves, they solidified into Ylvestra. Ravaged by elemental chaos and barren of life.


The Separation (SE) 7 — 13

A couple gods, among them Annam All-Father, Asgorath, Ptah were tasked with moving Ylvestra onto a plane of its own. When the deed was done, a prime material plane was created. A place where any god may influence what may prosper. When it was moved, two moons were created by Selûne herself in an attempt to tame the seas which ravaged the lands; she named the moons Yyvas and Tinthras. 

And then the sun was created, though it was not merely created as much as it was embodied by Amaunator himself. He wanted to be a constant watcher of the world which he was to bless with eternal sunlight.


Annam left the observable planes, and as the gods wonder why, mortals fear his decision. Did Annam see something which they could not? 

These days, only a few great scholars know of his decision to leave. And what motivated him, even the early fears he left in mortals, is left unknown beyond the knowledge of the gods.

Age of The Trees (AT) 14 — 326

The first Ylvestran populus were placed upon the newly created world. 

Age of The Fires (AF) 327 — 744

The first wars were fought and the gods saw their personal wars played out by proxy of mortals

Age of Torment (AM) 745 — 924

The gods were in constant war and therefore left Ylvestra alone, this was when people were left in despair of their current life. No one looked after them and their homelands were ravaged by the wars left unattended to by the gods. As warlords ruled the lands and the only gods left were fear and anguish, this is the time of which people are most critical of the gods true nature.

Age of Relief (AR) 925 — 1,474

When the gods returned to put their creations in order. They sundered warlords and freed slaves. Though they only did what was necessary to make up for their time gone, and thus still left some people subservient to others.

Age of Arcana (AA) 1,475 — 2,043

In an attempt to make their creations more independent in lieu of their gods, people were introduced to the magic of the gods. Clergies gained fragments of their gods powers, people were introduced to the arcane studies, some were blessed or bargained for magic abilities.

This was the age where many great empires rose into prominence, and even though many of these have fallen to the times, their stamps on the world have not.

This was the age where the arcane bands were laid. Appearing as two rings, invisible to the naked eye, only to be seen with magical implements of great craftmanship.

Age of Exploration (AE) 2,043 — 2,352

With new resources in arcane studies, people start venturing the cast seas and traversing down the dark depths of the underground in an attempt to find riches.

Societies start stabilizing and whilst not completely equal, most people find a decent enough living.

Age of Innovation (AI) > 2,352

Empires have settled and stuck around for a while now, and in an attempt to remain they explore various weaponry. This has also lead to technology which helps in other parts of life. Scholars are also learning the arts of magically enhancing mundane items for a remained magical effect, which until this age has only been something a god or greater being could do.
