Fluency

Fluency represents how well you can understand and speak a particular language. It is represented by four stages:

• 1/4 Fluency: You know enough words in a language to generally get by. You know how to ask for general directions to places of interest, where to get food and shelter, and respond to the most simple of questions. You cannot hold conversation for very long.
• 1/2 Fluency: You know enough words and grammar in a language to hold simple conversation, and convey more complex ideas. For example, how long it has been since a certain event, ask for help with a certain goal, and pick up on some of the conversation of the local populace.
• 3/4 Fluency: You know enough words, phrases, and grammar in a language to hold mundane conversation. For example, to discuss local politics, and understand nearly all of the conversation of the local populace.
• Full Fluency: You a language well enough to be indistinguishable from a native speaker.

Reading and Writing

Even though you may understand and speak a language, that does not mean you can read or write in it.

The following are languages that are not native to Adrovia, but may be spoken by humans. You can only ever reach 3/4 fluency in an exotic language:
