Lotus Stance

When you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you learn of the Lotus Stance, a martial technique which incorporates the tranquility associated with the lotus flower into your fighting. You may enter this stance as an action. While in the stance, you gain the following benefits:

  • You gain resistance to psychic damage
  • You gain a +1 bonus to AC
  • When a creature misses you with an attack, you can use your reaction to make a weapon attack against them

This stance lasts for 1 minute, or until you fall unconscious. You can enter this stance once, and gain the ability to do so again when you finish a short or long rest.

Lotus Strike

Starting at 6th level, your reactionary strikes become devastating. If you hit a creature as a reaction while in your Lotus Stance, they cannot take reactions until the beginning of your next turn. Additionally, you can spend 1 ki point when you hit a creature in this way to give them disadvantage on their next attack roll.

Lotus Movement

At 11th level, you gain the ability to harness the movement of the lotus. While in your Lotus Stance, you can walk on water, and gain a bonus to your AC equal to your Wisdom modifier when you take the dodge action on your turn.

Embodiment of the Lotus

At 17th level, you are always considered to be in your Lotus Stance while conscious. Additionally, as an action on your turn, you can spend 3 ki points enter the truest form of the Lotus Stance. Until the beginning of your next turn, you have resistance to all damage, and all attack rolls against you have disadvantage.
