Hayk was one of Ādīsi Geneti's most powerful drug lords, with fingers also in slavery, smuggling, hitmen organisations, underground cage fighting and various other organised crime rackets. He was also the slave owner of Ashraiah "Ash" el Sabine, Magri "Mag" el Sabine and Nenet "Nena" el Sabine when they were younger, though all three of these escaped. Kadar Rachid also worked for him at one point.
As the most influential crime lord in the Betin capital, Hayk had an absurd amount of control over the comings and going of people in said city, including having the famous South Dockyards under his purview, and thus held an enormous amount of sway over the freight coming and going from the largely merchant nation. Legend has it that he even had the previous Patrician in his pocket.
Hayk met his demise indirectly because of Shayla Fitzreine, as because of her, Qau-dibab-āy'ḥāk-āy'āda heard of Ash's time in slavery at his hand and saw first-hand the effect it had on her. At some point following the separation of The Band of Misfits, he returned to Adisi, and after beating his way through Hayk's goons found his way to the gangster and, after a brutal fight, decapitated him.
