Lan is a Vietnamese-American who grew up in the United States. She's the daughter of immigrants, who were farmers back in Vietnam, and instilled in her the love for animals and the land. She studied veterinary medicine in college, and after graduation, she moved to River City to start her own practice at Happy Paws.
She's a bit of an introvert, but she's friendly and outgoing when she's around animals or people she's comfortable with.
